Today is the 474th birth anniversary of Mughal Emperor Akbar. There is a special article, posted about the birth of this personality. There are some Akbarnama pictures too depicting his birth.

its quiet intersting abhay even we have another grt personality having his bday 2dy and he is A PJ Abdul Kalam...😃 so 2 grt ppl share der bday on d saem day...😃 will go thru d link and dn come bk to u...😃thnx fr sharing...😛

This is indeed a special day. The reason why we are all in this forum.

Akbar is worth remembering not because he was born great. He made mistakes, he learned from them and achieved greatness. He made rationality his guiding principle and universal tolerance his way of life. As he once said "In our troubled times so full of contradictions, it does not make sense to proclaim the truth of one religion over others. A wise man learns from all. Maybe in this way, the door may be opened whose key has been lost"

The episode in the series Bharatvarsh, hosted by Anupam Kher, particularly brings out this point.

Your series of interesting posts about his birth and how his name was changed to ward off evil spirits is enjoyable to read.
