Sometimes the show displays realism, sometimes it contradicts its own logic. Most of the contradictions are made due to Ishwari's character - to show her insecurity even if Sonakshi or Dev has to be compromised.

This is what irritated me most in the episode. Dumbing down male lead doesn't show woman in better light. Sona has her own career and she can be brilliant in her own way. Also, Sona was always shown as someone who nurtures Dev's conscience, which took a back seat because of his difficult childhood. She praises him and removes the doubt in his mind when he wonders if he made the right decision by losing a part of profit for the sake of a few workers.
The right way to do that scene would be - Dev agrees to hire Vicky due to Eeshwari's insistence, but conveys his fears to Sona; Sona advises Dev that may be they can teach him work before giving big responsibilities; Dev agrees with Sona and tells her that he was thinking the same; Dev praises Sona for being smart etc . Now that would make sense.
