Arnav's eyes moved to the name plate on the doctor's cabin door.
Dr. Payal Mehta.
She was his lawyer, Aakash Mehta's wife..Khushi's friend and his college mate. There were so many ways in which she was connected to Arnav, but she simply hated the sight of him. And rightly so, after breaking Khushi's heart, he didn't expect her friend to be nice to him.
On coming back to India, Arnav had hired Aakash, a renowned lawyer as his legal consultant. At that point of time he was unaware that he was the same Aakash who had married Payal and whose alliance he had ridiculed. Six years back when Khushi had told him about them he had been absolutely sure that both of them had made a huge mistake and that they would definitely regret later. However time showed who was wrong and who had made a mistake.
Today, Aakash was handling Arnav's divorce case and Payal, a reputed pediatrician would be treating Khushi's daughter. Both Aakash and Payal were successful, happy and together. Arnav still remembered when Aakash had invited him over dinner at his house, he was shocked to see Payal as Aakash's wife. But she wasn't, surely her husband had told her about him. She was prepared, prepared to give him a cold welcome.

" how's khushi?" he had asked .

" khushi, who you left , right?" she'd taunted him but not told him anything about her. He didn't deserve to know about her. Things between them remained purely professional. She disliked him and he never attempted to change that.

First of all thanks so much for reading and sharing your views on this story. Well I can see that you are eager to know why Khushi married shyam but that won't be revealed anytime soon. I am a very slow writer, I take time to move the story forward and don't rush with things. Staying true to the prologue, Arnav has made some mistakes and he's repenting. Currently he's not being liked but I hope to change that gradually. Opinions won't change overnight, it will be a slow and gradual process. At the end of the day it's an Arshi story where Arnav is the hero ( though not the ideal one) and Khushi is the heroine, so ultimately they Will come together , however I can assure you that on getting her memory back, Khushi won't be running into Arnav's arms, screaming " Arnav ji."
We are seventeen chapters down and there are quite a few more to come. It's not over till it's over.

I like the pace at which you write. It gives you the time and space to develop your characters in a more rounded manner. Fiction blended with the realities of life :)

Nice teaser. I guess Payal will be some help in giving some insight on Khushi's past. But I feel she wont help him in any way after how he had broke Khushi's heart. Waiting to see how the story proceeds
