Why is that we hate SAS Bahu serial so much ? Did we hate it before...??

When Sas Bhi Kabhi Bahu dhi serial came people loved it , every one stopped every activity of theirs and started watching it . At that time they also said it was something that they could relate to. They loved the concept of ideal DIL and MIL...now what happened , why is it not selling any more...why ppl make joke out of it?? Why do people hate it now??

I feel its because they, time and time again show the same thing , people are bored with the concept. Above all there is too much negativity in it. We are not hating the sas bahu plot ...what we are hating is the way they portray it with so much of negativity.

The present days Sas Bahu is been shown in such way that, each track is brought in to show melodrama, every time it is the MIL or DIL getting hurt and their perspective is shown. Mil is always shown as the most cruel entinity on this planet as if they are born to destroy DIL. DIL is the one who trying to balance things...self sacrificing , dolled up...no emotions ..born only to make in laws happy at the cost of her likes and dislikes...

In all this "The Man" becomes a dummy person...most of them dancing to the tunes of their mother and suddenly goes mute and blind regarding the need of their wife. Now this is the ideal son that ppl want to see??!! Really ?? !!

Now what abt the DIL in the above situation , she will cry a lot and think that she will do it because it makes her husband and inlaws happy ...self-sacrificing her likes and dislikes..the ideal DIL that people want to see?? I doubt !! no one is this good and perfect .. after some time ppl will loose patience . No one has this amount of patience ...we will for sure make our point clear to the man we married and see to that some good results come out of the discussion ( There might be exceptions , I am not counting them )

Supriya ji's Tu Tu Main Main is also based on Sas Bahu drama...but people love to watch it even today because you get to laugh and there is a sense of goodness in it. Its not just showing the pain of DIL , it gives an entire emotional mind frame of every character in that serial that too in most humorous way.

So can our serial make a difference to the Sas Bahu Genera?? Yes ..all they need to do is make "The Man" active along with his Lady . As his wife struggles to get a foot hold at his home , let us also get to see a few of the below mentioned points which will add colour to this serial and start a new trend in the Sas Bahu kinds..

For once let us see the man doing the balancing act.

Let us here the wife making her point clear to her husband about her likes and dislikes , just like normal couple.

Let us see this Man respecting his mom but at the same time making sure that his lady loves needs are fulfilled.

Let us not see him being mute and blind abt his lady loves emotions in front of his family .

Let this man take the lead in making her comfortable at his home because he promised her father that she is his responsibility.

Let this man help his lady love to settle down at his home .

Let this man make it clear to his entire family that like them she is also a part of his life and a every important one. And no one to mess with her.

For once please show Son in law trying to win his in laws heart too..Please show him trying to be a part of that family too just like his wife trying to be a part of his family !!

Is this difficult to be shown?? No, it is the same sas bahu but here beta and pati also has a place and act to play. Makers need to understand a sas - bahu concept is incomplete with out Pati and Beta...in fact it is "The Man who plays the Pati and Beta" who makes his lady love Bahu and his mom Sas.

So let us see a man's perspective and his importance and they way he brings in a balance to the family...after all he is "The Man of the house ".😉

I completely agree with u .
It's not that we hate SaaS bahu serials but the sad truth that they have become so monotonous that the audience are aware of the track beforehand. The same things are repeated again and again that makes no sense at all. Some people do buy this nonsense but not everyone.I know all the viewers of KRPKAB are different from the saas bahu category. We are the ones who want our show to be different from the ones which are currently on air.

Coming to KRPKAB, I m still loving the show. I m still in love with Devakshi's lovey dovey moments.Ishwari being herself is as usual not able to digest her son's undivided attention to his lovely wife. Somewhere it's natural.Let's hope she realizes her place as well as Sonakshi's importance in Dev's life.

Dev ka to kya kehna...The breakfast scene was well executed.I loved the fact that Dev is aware of his duties towards his wife and also his responsibilities towards her.He is now ready to talk to his mother when it comes to Sonakshi.

Sonakshi has always been shown as a fighter.I really admire her for her willingness to accept the custom and traditions of her husband's family. At the same time , she is also maintaining her self respect.

The story is still in its initial phase.Labelling it as a SaaS bahu saga would really be unfair to the beautiful story that we have witnessed till now...

Keeping fingers crossed😳

BINgo!! 👏 👏 👏

The Balancing act is most difficult and most critical and required one.
If this falls in place, other things can be managed in a better way. Atleast I think they wont go ugly.
Thats where things go wrong, when poor men actually struggle. They are not emotionally strong as woman and when circumstances require their emotional involvement as much as practical, sometimes they try to avoid the situation . The friction between MIL and DIL can be worked out and lessened here with his efforts.

Finally a show where this pivotal role is not ignored.

PS: on a lighter note.. that means more of Shah...yes yes ..chahiye chahiye 😳 😆

Great Post But a few doubts I have and I dare express myself though I know barring three or four members others will definitely hail you and find my view as regressive.
Yes. You are right in saying Beta has a pivotal role in this otherwise branded as Saas Bahu dramas.
But all your points uphold the primary duty of a son towards his wife. Except in one line there is no mention of how he should also take care of his mother's concerns, especially when he is the only son like Dev to Iswari. We must remember that for a mother also it is a transition period . She changes from a mother to a mother in law. She needs the support of her son as much as the wife if not more.

The basic mistake most of the sons do is they overlook this fact in their enthusiasm to please their newly wed wife. They forget how they used to dote upon their mother before their marriage. It is so easy for men to change their life style but not for women.
The son who used to enjoy his dinner with his Mom dear will crave to eat with his wifey dear.
He will move on while the mother helplessly looks on.Dev showed a nice gesture when he took breakfast to Sona to feed her. But Iswari who enjoyed the privilege till then will get hurt in the process.
It is here in these instances the son should act with a balanced approach. He should make it a point to see he should not run past by his mother but take her also with him further in his journey of life.

I know I will get brick bats for siding with a mother and a mother in law. Still even though I am a daughter in law I feel the reason for the unrest and trauma in family life is mostly because of lack of balanced approach on part of the son. If the son follows the points suggested by you definitely the wife will get her due but not a mother.

Its their chemistry that add a beautiful colour to the whole serial. Their chemistry is the USP for this serial. Makers should make full use of it .

Dev ka to kya kehna...The breakfast scene was well executed.I loved the fact that Dev is aware of his duties towards his wife and also his responsibilities towards her.He is now ready to talk to his mother when it comes to Sonakshi.

Yes , liked the way he is making her comfortable at his house. Every new lady will be hesitant to take food and eat. And it was so sweet of him to do that . Hope makers dont show him like the typical man from other Sas Bahu Serial. Let him have eye, ears and words for his wife . Let him show his affection for his wife too. Loving his wife doesnt mean disrespecting his family. Now she is also a part of his family.
That kiss on the head , I loved it . Was worth watching his expression , that closed eyes , the way he bend to kiss her ...amazing and beautifully shot , and enacted too!!

Sonakshi has always been shown as a fighter.I really admire her for her willingness to accept the custom and traditions of her husband's family. At the same time , she is also maintaining her self respect.
Yes and its not that she is able to do everything so perfectly. Which new bride can be so perfect . No one...every one struggles to get a foot hold in the husband's house..hence it looks more realistic.
The story is still in its initial phase.Labelling it as a SaaS bahu saga would really be unfair to the beautiful story that we have witnessed till now...

Keeping fingers crossed😳

Just hoping that they will bring in a new trend of Sas Bahu where in Man place the balancing act ...and helps the two imp laddies of his life to respect each other.

Agreed, but do you think he is going to do this every day ...no he isnt ...its only the initial phase of marriage...later as the responsibilities pile up, their day to day activities wont be the same and might not even get to eat one meal together...so my point is ..Ishwari is older and has seen life ...she has also walked the path called marriage...she knows the truth...so why not give a lil space to her son and his wife to enjoy that conjugal happiness!! Why is that in our society the moment DIL enters the house ppl pounce on her to teach everything abt the house... mom's want their son to be married but the moment girl comes to house she doesnt want her to spend time with the son...rather learn to be a good DIL, mother , learn cooking , how to run a house etc etc...the basic fact that she is here to be his companion is forgotten by all ...

I didnt cover that part for our serial because that is in Dev's DNA..he can forget every thing but cannot go blind to his mom's needs...balance means respect every one...not just abt his mom or wife it also relates to every person in the house hold. My expectation from Dev would be that ...at the same time Sona will also have to do her part...its a two way game...I highlighted the points that are normally missing in other Sas Bahu serial because of which it looses it imp and becomes boring.
