"Being the 'Nutrition' in this house, is very far away from the realm of being My Bahu" were the words Ishwari said to Sonakshi when the latter was innocently pledging herself before the breakup.
Ishwari was fine with Sonakshi as an employee/adviser because it didn't concern her what her personal life and customs were. But she then became the Bahu. The one Dev was ziddi about, the one Ishwari couldn't get rid of.
She is a staunch Brahmin vegetarian and she has her prayers and rituals. Dev does not subscribe to them, sure, but his mother lives and breathes them. So her irritation that Sona should innocently think she can just wing it and succeed is understandable.
Sona is earnestly trying. Poor thing is very naive when it comes to the religiously strict types, being raised in a relaxed and liberal home. She could use Google Bhai and learn up the rituals and ask also. She naively thinks Ishwari is on her team, but the older lady is out of generosity after the wedding perhaps.
Her scolding was disheartening for me. She has been demoted from a position of adviser to the errand girl who can't seem to get it right. Trust me, this 'teaching-scolding' will continue only in Dev's absence.
Sonakshi is already looking intimidated and defeated. Because she really thought she was accepted wholeheartedly. I just wish that there will be a scene where her expertise and knowledge will be her upper hand in shutting up her detractors.
I desperately need to see that.😠Sonakshi is not trying to be better that anyone. She's just asking to be a part of the family
Supriya ji said in an IV that Ishwari never intentionally does things to make trouble. It always comes out badly ..😆.. that's sugar coating really.
This lovable idiot Dev didn't plan a honeymoon getaway? He just goes back to work as usual and his wife has to spend her post wedding holiday in a Bahu crash course ? Serves him right for not getting any action.
Another thing, Dev should have given her his keys to the wardrobe or made a copy for her. Asking from Ishwari could have been avoided. I know that the "great bunch of important keys" are a matter of great honour to older women. If not that drawer , give her another with a lock!? pfft.
I spent an hour of my wedding night sitting with my husband at MIL's bedside, listening to her about how the wedding tired her out terribly. She patted and patted his head so much, like it was the end of his innocence ... then in our room, he has the nerve to ask why I was so formally dressed to bed?! God, I was waiting for her to show up any minute😲, and this silly man would have just opened the door regardless of what I was wearing !!!!! ðŸ˜
So Yeah, delays in SR is normal too. But not really permanent 😉 ..
