This post is not to bash someone, I am just disappointed with the thinking of some people here.Look at this points.
1.A girl cannot have a guy friend, without they wanting to have something more.
2.A girl cannot & should not be comfortable with some guy or guys or 'touch' them who is not her boyfriend or husband. And if she is, she is a bad person and she is asking for it.
3. A girl & guy ( who are just Friends) cannot flirt with each other. If she does she is characterless. And God forbid if the guy has a significant other. Then she is trying to break them apart.
4.Something really shallow: A girl should be prettier than the guy she is paired with.
5. Even shallower: A actress should be really pretty. Well I don't think so. She is called an actress not a beauty queen.
She should know how to act, and may be she should be good to look at.It is not essential for her to be a miss universe.
Guys we watch this show religiously. Soumya is such an example of the fact that people who don't fit the beauty norms the society presents us with are actually perfect and beautiful, both on outside & inside.
As for the first 3 points get this in your backward thinking brains if you have the same concept they present:
A girl & a guy can be friends. They can be comfortable with each other. They can 'touch' each other.
They can flirt with each other for fun. Because they know it doesn't mean anything. And it doesnot mean that they are cheating on their significant other.
Try flirting with someone. It's really flattering. It can make someone feel good about themselves.
Secondly Vrushika wasn't thrown out of the show. They had a mutual understanding. Things didn't work out. It happens. It doesn't mean that she can't act or that she is not pretty. She is pretty and a nice actress and a better dancer than any one of us.
It is really disappointing to know that there are people even in my generation who have such inferior thinking. It defeats the purpose of this show or anything else that wants to uplift women.
What's worse is people who think like this also include women.
Please think about it. And don't be those sick bitches who drag their own gender down.
And if you still can't get a thing in your thick skull from what I said, Watch PINK, a far better and respectable actor & person than me who is two generations older than us, and is 75 years old will make you understand this in a more effective way.
