Marriage happened in a rush

Why did Dev rushed the marriage so fast? I am surprised on why sona didn't object on it? Both of them belong to different cultures. Dev is a brahmin and sona is a bengali. They should of taken few months to learn each other's culture and the rituals related to marriage. Only if they had taken some time to understand each other's rituals then there would of been less drama in their families. Plus Ishwari is very confusing like she says yes to non-veg but when bua strats drama over it then she have second thoughts about it. Sona's family did everything according to Ishwari and Dev's wishes but now creating drama over it is useless. I wonder if sona and dev dated each other longer and realized how different their families are. Would they still be together? at the end Sona has to deal with a lot of drama and no girl should go through what sona is going through in the name of love. Dev is just a mama's boy and Ishwari wants her son to have everything he desires. No wonder Sona's dad dislikes the dixits soo much. I completely understand his anger towards the dixit's.
