Felt bad about how Simi grilled Rishi . That part " what is role of a father " got bit nasty and preachy. As a friend , she can say all that in private , in public it becomes an insult . Poor Chintu sat sobered up after that !!
It's sad that Chintu jee can't have a normal relativity Ranbir. He needs a dad , a man in his life. Being friendly dad doesn't mean you have to be on back slapping terms . There is a lot that can be done within boundaries of Rishi's definition of a dad.

Is this their way of softening public attitude towards Ranbir? Accept it or not - Ranbir's public image has taken a beating after DP and Sonam spoilt his reputation, after he himself bragged about his cheating ways and then the breakup with Katrina. So, maybe now mommy-daddy are trying to reason out Ranbir's psyche to public and get sympathy for himself. Poor little boy is troubled because of his personal life. They had to do this after they can't even find a rich affluent non-filmy girl to marry him.
