Before I say anything,
A big CONGRATULATIONS to all, Finally DevAkshi are married 😳
I missed the episodes on thursday and friday both and was surviving on WUs😆
Forum is the best place to gauge a balanced viewpoint on the episode and the reactions for yesterday were inclined towards the episode being Thanda😆

I,hence, lowered my expectations and saw the episode.
My My! So surprised😃⭐️
What a brilliantly paced episode👏

All throughout the episode, I was like Ye ho bhi gaya😲 Ring game😲 Var maala😲 Pheras😲 Mangalsutra😲 Sindoor Daan😲
The time taken to write this was more than the air time for these rasms I guess😆😆

But, tell me honestly. . Haven't these rasms and rituals already been explored to death on television before.
All the rituals are almost the same, you can't hamper with them and no matter how creative you want to be in the wedding, all these more or less are the same.
We have seen it all before, some done it themselves.😳
So, The approach of creatives was really individualistic 👏 Instead of panning and zooming on the bride and grooms faces during the rituals, they completed them in the most realistically beautiful way possible,❤️
They kept such little details in mind with the simplest way possible👏

Devakshi just light up the screens with their smiles.😃
How heart-warming it was to see Dev's little gestures reflecting his love for Sonakshi
-The way his face lit up when he saw Sonakshi entering, his smile when Sonajshi removed the paan-patta.
- The way he holds Sonakshi from the side and supports her from behind when they do the aahuti in the havan after standing.
- After the vidai, He opens the door for her and when her dress was coming out of the car door, he bends down to adjust it properly. He is not obhodro at all❤️
- How lovingly he puts the lajjabastra on her.
- The way he bends himself so that Sonakshi can put the varmala. Just loved that they played Kuch Rang BG during the varmala scene😳

The varmala has to be the show stealer of the episode,na?
Dev and Sonakshi were so themselves, not plastic bride grooms just completing the rituals (I have seen this 1000000 times on tv) but two happy individuals living the moment😳❤️
Erica/Sonakshi hitting on his arms added a personal touch as well😆

No doubt, the arguments and fight were a bit more than expected. I mean we all have been excited about the wedding for Devakshi, not for this bua-saas drama, but then is there any marriage where relatives don't poke their nose in, and express displeasure?😆
The thursday episode was more about Bose family's views on Dixit family's flaws like the Baarat dance, the littering on the ground etc while the ME had it vice-versa.
Must say, the Dixit sisters guarding Dev's jooti and finally discovering that this doesn't happen in Bengali culture was too cute 😆 and thoughtful (Because this joota churai could have easily taken 5 minutes of the telecast time and the cliched scenes would be a lot of fun too, but CVs chose to go with original rituals instead😊)
The lehenga issue was a two-way mistake, Neither Ishwari communicated to Bose family that the lehenga was supposed to be worn in the wedding (I am sure Sonakshi's family would have excused their own rituals for her wishes) nor did Bose family discuss about the wedding attire with her.

Mamaji is as always the most sensible person👏 Ishwari is genuinely trying to be a good MIL and a mother, Dadi-bua's comments made me roll my eyes🤔 par aise log bhi hote hai😆
Being from a brahmin family myself, I have seen relatives behave the exact same way as the Dixit family.😆 It is actually a big deal for vegetarians to be even near non-veg food sometimes, can't do anything about it.😆

Last was the machli issue, RR's reaction was hilarious🤣
One fish came with the shagun, big deal, If you can accept a girl who eats the fish as your bahu, there shouldn't be a problem in seeing one fish in your house, Ishwari.😕
Plus, It wasn't that Sonakshi was going to cook that fish and make you eat it?😕😆

Anyway, the episode was high on realistic drama and no one would have complained had we got more of Devakshi😳 but What could they have shown differently there ? They used cross-culture difference to add some hustle-bustle in an otherwise routine wedding.
Kyunki, Neither was this a hate-marriage😆, Neither Parents not agreeing wali shaadi😆 Na bhaag ke shaadi hui😆 Neither some big secret about the bride-groom was going to be revealed in the episode😆
Kya dikhate fir?

Like shaheer said, Is shaadi me ye twist hai ke koi twist nahi hai😆😉

Exactly my thoughts..except d fish part .. not letting non- veg in their house was a big issue coz i hv seen that in kattar veg families..
I wud not like to question the beliefs of a person on that topic as long as they dnt hv issues wid mine..dats is why I totally supported supported Ishu wen she sd that they kept non-veg at wedding and she was still ok wid it and didnt say no to Dev but she can't keep the same attitude wen its happening in her house.

I thoroughly enjoyed d episode..😳
And the post too 😳

Btw how did u control urself frm not watching it yesterday 😲

What you said is true dear, it happens. Very common, infact I am sure had it been my grandmother or any elderly person she would have reacted just like Ishwari.
Never intended to question Ish's beliefs if it came across like that😳😳
Thank you dear🤗
Haha, I had no choice😭 Was traveling 🥺

You are here 🤗
I had a constant smile throughout the reading session of your take on the ME
And oh I actually agree to literally each n every thing you've written
Definitely the varmala scene was the show stealer, don't know it just had something very very spcl in it, not to be forgotten how she hit his hand lightly when he puts when varmala. This was just too cute.
N true.. there are these kinds of relatives in every wedding who'd try n find faults in every single thing. N then if you have an issue liks veg n non veg food, then the task of finding is reduced.
Arre yaar I missed your episode analysis so much 😭

And i was waiting for this post. There are few people in the forum, whose posts i look forward to. 😊
I loved ME, it was very realistic and yes high on drama quotient too. But it happens in marriages. The best part was that it involved everyone, yesterday i felt for each and every character. it was beautiful. Varmala part was the best for me. And i am gonna run and watch the epi again, how can i miss Dev adjusting sona's duppatta while sitting in the car during bidai scene. 😲
