ok so here I'm making an individual post after a long time. Padna hai to pad lo , hain bhai ! 😃
Hmm so here's how I felt about the shadi wala mahaepisode, ...frankly speaking I enjoyed the Dev ka junoon wala episode much much more than this one, because simple- it was focussed on Devakshi, and the entire episode was playing out and events were unfolding around them . They were the central characters.
But they looked like side character in the ME on their own wedding. 😕 🤓

The little things I liked in the episode are as follows ( mind it, they're very few )-
1. Dixit family praising the marriage venue and arrangements and the Daadi bua telling Radha rani that she was proven wrong .

2. The jai mala was cute and nicely done , though I absolutely hated how they insulted Ulu , with out which koi vi shadi wali feel hi nehi aati mujhe and it's such a beautiful meaningful auspicious sound. Still, loved how happy our Devakshi looked . I wish though there were some passionate glances stolen amongst them in between. Some times I again had that odd two-best-friends-not-lovers getting married wali feel ! I wish Dev's jaw had dropped when he saw Sona in bride's attire for the first time and him to be mesmerized. Heck he was much more affected and emotional and mesmerised when he saw Neha in dulhaan's get up for the first time. 😲
Similarly I wish Sona had given him at least one second's bedroom wali look seeing her groom so handsome . 😉
The way Jodha drooled at Akbar sword practicing . 😉

3. Loved mama ji and Asha , for their disaster management skills. 👏
Hated Dadi bua , GKB and Vicky through out. 🤬

4. Loved how Riya and Nikki were full on masti mood , they even ate the food with complete relish . After all they're EDUCATED, unlike...well some other obnoxious creatures of Dixit family. That's the difference between educated and uneducated. 😃

5. Thank God I didn't blink or I would've missed the marriage, it was almost a record how much hurriedly the actual marriage rituals were shown.😲 Still I guess Devakshi's happy smiles made up for it to a little extent. Or should I say Sharica chemistry saved it once again.

6. Vidaai was such a huge disappointment. Only Vijoy was convincing. Asha was not even crying properly. 😕 Nor were Elena , Dadi . 🤓
I thought I'd cry buckets during Sona ki vidaai, but my eyes were dry like dessert.

7. I wish Dev and Vijoy shared another conversation before they left for Dixit house. It'd have looked really nice in the context.
But liked how he clasped Sona's hand in the car when she was crying , in a gesture of silent comfort and reassurance. That could've been a perfect opportunity for them to share a conversation.
Also a perfect opportunity for Sona to have a mental monolog reflecting on how her life is gonna change completely from now on .

8. The entire fish fiasco was unbearable and it completely spoiled the rind ceremony for me. But I loved the fact that Sona found the ring. 😛 😃

9. Glad that Dev at least showed the humanity and common decency of speaking up for his in laws and his wife , though he was quickly shut down.
I'm pretty much ashamed that Sona didn't stop her brother and Elena from profusely apologizing as if they've done a big sin by sending a fish by mistake , fish that is considered part of many puja rituals among bengalis and considered sign of Maata laxmi , just like Paan and paddy.

10. Sona and Neha's hug was lovely. 😳

I'm not gonna write in detail about things I absolutely hated and was disappointed about today's episode. At least not in the main post. Already my mood is off because of them and I'm trying my level best to stick to postive and feel good things in the episode , however little they might be.
Like little glimpses of rain bows in a sky full of clouds.

I wish they , FOR ONCE , show a positive episode focusing on the newly married couple. Do people really pay for watching negativity on their TV screen ??

haa yaar...much needed ..few sequences with total focus on main leads..if they don't do it now ..I have a feeling that they might end up losing the connect with target audience..
I hardly have any hopes left with next week episodes..

some one please remind CVs..lets keep the stress and negativity to others ..ours is a feel good show 😊😛

just a general observation
This show has phenomenal leads, great looking and have good chemistry but almost most of the viewers feel that it is not being used effectively ..i wonder whether there is some contract that the Leads have signed that is preventing them to..maybe they just are not comfortable. I know in the west actors have contracts and theirs are maybe how many episodes that they will get to shoot etc not about the scenes enacted not sure if in Indian TV this is the case
Regarding No positivity in the show why so? why would viewers want to watch doom and gloom dont we have enough of that in our real lives?

I have no clue for this is my maybe third Indian show

Hey Anna, made a post after such a long time. You made a post focusing on positives and I made on focusing more on negatives. 😆
@bold:So true.It actually was a blink and miss kind of wedding.
I agree that the positive scenes you mentioned were all good ones and Asha and mamaji as always were the saving grace in all situations. And of course Sharica chemistry is the one keeping many of us glued to the show.
As for Saurab and Elena apologizing, I think that was required. Why? Because traditions and cultures of both families need to be respected. In Dixit house the family members are not comfortable to see the fish because they consider it against their religion. They didn't apply logic or reasoning there. So if there was a mistake on Elena and Saurab's end(even if not directly), they need to apologise for unintentionally hurting their sentiments. That does not make them wrong, neither does that make them belittle the significance the fish holds in their culture. Sona was not in a position to say anything because even the Dixits are her family now, so she could not ignore their hurt feelings. An apology was required from one side and forgiveness was required from the other side.

I loved the episode... yes there were conflicts - trust me they happened in my wedding too...

For once i wanted sona's family to be extra careful and recheck or mention - no fish in shagun to the people who packed them... just becuase they saw how none of dixit elders ate food.. I am a pure non vegetarian and eat non veg almost every day... but still some elders are very particular... it is too late to expect them to change. So i understand their reaction to the whole situation...

One other scene i laughed was when nikki and riya were sitting with Dev's jhoote and waiting for some one to come and steal them... i was 😆

overall i loved it... there was drama but it didnt leave a bad taste as it was resolved almost immediately...
