"I had told you this on Chote's wedding day and I am telling you again, if you as much as create a problem for him and Khushi, you will see the worst of me." Devyani had now walked over to where she was standing and stood in front of her. "How many times will you threaten me with the same consequences? You have been doing it for years now, dont you think its time to change?," Mohini replied sarcastically. "True Mohini, but the time wasn't right then, however it is now," Devyani put her chin up in the air as she challenged her to defy what she had said. Mohini thinned her lips in a line,"he cant do a thing, Akash is the sole inheritor of power of attorney, I know that. I have worked with the company too and I know what I am staking at and how."

However as they had grown up, he had often seen her staring at him with wide eyes and he wasn't a fool to not know what it meant. But that had come at a time where he didn't care who liked him or who didnt, anymore. However to think that someone like Sheetal would hold a candle to him was quite baffling to say the least. He was definitely not like those boys she had dated over the years and while they had been family friends since time immemorial, they both hadn't been on very friendly terms with the other, amicable yes, but friendly? Definitely not, atleast not in his opinion.

"Chote," he stopped and looked back at his father," one more thing, is everything alright at work?," he saw Arnav look away and he knew he had hit the bull's eye. Arnav nodded slowly which Manohar would have missed if he hadn't been staring at him closely. "Do you remember my first lesson of work ethics that I had taught you after you had joined me?," Manohar smiled at his son, pepping him up to answer him. Arnav replied prudently,"that we dont overlook mistakes."

Arnav took in a sharp breath, his eyes narrowed and his hands turned cold with anger as he clenched them in fists,"you may not know but I have only one regret in my life," he turned around and looked at his mother,"that I am your son."

Without saying a word he let his right hand drop from her face as he reached for the the small box on the dresser. Opening it he picked up a pinch of red colored vermillion with his thumb and fore finger and then bringing his fingers to the parting in her hair, he filled it with the pious symbol that bonded her to him, together, for now and ever.

Chapter 15 and 16 were to be the same chapter but it turned out to be so very long that I had to divide them into two. Anyway I will be posting Chapter 16- Arnav's Interlude, in a day or two hopefully. If it takes me longer to pen the update, I would post the teaser nevertheless since we managed to finish all teasers posted earlier in this update. Just in case you have missed out we have hit the bit of a prologue' here, so we are at a crucial juncture in Wedded. And as I had stated in the beginning of the story that Arnav's character will have a metamorphosis and here we are. He needed a push/ reason / factor to step out of his shell and he got one with Khushi and her denigration. However things dont happen overnight, BUT slow and steady wins the race. Also for the curious readers the honeymoon will happen soon but if you know me and my story telling you probably know that there is a reason behind it too. Remember story and sex go hand in hand. Anyway we will cross the bridge when we come at it.
