@red - great points :) There are very few things which are the absolute truth. Each person's view of it is coloured by their perspective and even life experiences I think.
Their idea of couture is turning out to be spectacularly wrong, isn't it?!
More attention is being paid to the leads' wardrobe here. Whereas in IPK, everyone but the leads had a wardrobe budget, much to the fandom's collective despair.
Their odd complexions are sometimes more to do with lighting, I think. There isn't much natural light in the Oberoi Mansion and the plethora of nets and diaphanous fabrics they hang round the place, filter the light making them look a bit pasty. The colours and decor they're using in this sequence is particularly hideous. Although, the Ganeshji idol they have chosen is beautiful.
Thanks!
IPK wardrobe was a disaster...Ishqbaaz has left IPK behind in that aspect, for now, atleast. Except Anjali nobody, not even Lavanya was given decent wardrobe even though she was supposedly a fashionista. In Ishqbaaz, if you notice closely, Jhanvi dresses well ...if you ignore her one boob show (i hate the drape) and and the others dress decently too. colour combinations are rather loud but, the wardrobe department thus far is faring okay for Indian tele.
As for set designing, I like the high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows but the floral decartions and the colourful fabrics they use as festive decor are an eyesore. However, it is an improvement over IPK billionaire's house where Arnav's room did not even have table and chair for him to work in.The set size seems to be remarkably larger too in Ishqbaaz.
Normally film sets do not depend on natural ligh while shooting indoorst...the lighting is adjusted to set the mood. on this show, they are looking overly made up, including the guys. Makeup and lighting departments are lacking, I suppose 😆
