Till now we have had 3 scene which crosses the younger and current versions of our protagonists:
1) Adult Suman/ Young Sumo at Pct breakdown sequence. It happened when Suman lost her best friend, when she was in dire need of somebody to lean upon. She did not retaliate, simply stood shedding tears.
The younger Sumo told her to move ahead. Sumo was her badass self, refecting the need to go ahead in life. Let Shravan go, only Nanu matters was her verdict.
2) Adult Suman/ Young Shravan: A juncture where she sat waiting, he told her to now burn in his wait. It brought back her walls of ego.
3) Adult Shravan/ Young Sumo: My favourite scene. He needs his best friend to live, to go on. How he cherises that little, fiesty girl! She apologised for all wrongs, he realised his own faults with a single word.
So till now in all the scenes the younger versions have basically been a manifestation of their sub-conscious. Most importantly, providing them what they need; a will to live, a will to fight, a solace, a succour.
In future I feel we might witness a scene between the adult and young versions of Shravan, which will be the most awaited I guess. There will be a juncture when all cards will be revealed including Ram- Nirmala, Suman's helplessness and the forever elusive Memory box).
Shravan laying broken amidst the pieces of his heart, filled with a desolation that will chill him to the bones and numb him to the soul. Young Shravan will make an appearence then. He will berate his elder self for hurting his Sumo and then will provide the semblance to move forward. The younger one was a wise guy with a quirky intellegence who will pave a way forward.
