WUS - 11/10 My most favorite film of his. High, high, high repeat watch for me and I recommend this and give as gifts to people who I introduce to BW movies

Barfi - 9/10 He was good, very, very good but it was PC who stole the show for me

Rockstar 8/10 Love his individual scenes and the songs. But I am absolutely of the belief his performance could be better had it been anyone other than Nargis. Boo Imtiaz for that one 🤔

Tamasha 7/10 - Loved him in parts of it I did see. Movie was annoying so I did not watch parts of it. Again Imtiaz. 🤔

You did not ask but YJHD and Rajneeti - 9/10

Wake Up Sid - 9, loved and related to this character so much! He was very endearing in this movie as well.

Rocket Singh - 8, he did a good job with the earnest trainee salesman scenes in the 1st half. He also pulled off the turbaned Sikh look very well.

Rockstar - 8.5, everyone loves this movie, but I think he was good but not extraordinary. I personally didn't think it was a great movie... Imtiaz movies are hit/miss for me, I either really like them or think they are meh.

Barfi - 7.5, I liked PC better and everyone loves this movie and RK in it on this forum but I didn't think it was anything extraordinary either. Like Imtiaz, I either really like or really dislike Basu's movies, for e.g. I loved Metro and Gangster but thought Barfi was just ok.

Tamasha - 10, I loved Ranbir in this movie. I loved Tamasha too, contrary to popular opinion - I felt like it was my life's story being played out in front of me! I have never related so much to a character as much as I have to Ved, and Ranbir's portrayal of it touched me. His scenes with Deepika in the cafe before Agar Tum Saath Ho, the deleted scene in which Deepika comes to his apartment, and his final scene where he tells his family "his" story are my favourites of RK in this movie.

The one movie I think he otherwise did a great job in was Rajneeti... wasn't in the list, but I would have also given Rajneeti a 9/10. He elevated the role with the dark, cunning layers to the character. I remember Ranbir said he thought that role was his most overrated performance (TBIP interview), but the subtleties he brought to Samar Pratap made it so memorable. He should do more dark / villainous roles, I would like to see how he tackles them.
