Actor Ranveer Singh is a distant cousin of Sonam Kapoor

Sonam and Arjun Kapoor are cousins is a widely known fact.

What you should also know is that Sonam and Ranveer Singh are second cousins.

Basically, the Ranjhanaa star's nani (maternal grandmother) and Lootera hunk's dadaji(paternal grandfather) are siblings.

The Uber Stylish actress, Sonam Kapoor is Ranveer's second cousin from his father and her mother's side. Their respective parents are first cousins; his grandfather is Sonam Kapoor's maternal grandmother' brother, which makes the actors second cousins. The cousins aren't particularly close and met each other only during their birthdays. Sonam is of course, more famous for being the daughter of the evergreen actor, Anil Kapoor who continues to keep himself relevant to the present time.

I think Sonam will explain about their equation in the Vogue BFF show. they asked her about that and she mentioned he is her third cousin in the promos. As i know his mother and Sonams mother are cousins.

Not only Ranveer also Kjo the Gossip queen mentiones Ranveer as an outsider. These insiders call him outsider its not his fault if they dont accept him.

On Vogue India's new show on friends, Sonam said Ranveer is her third cousin, after an umm, and an uh. Yane ki she wants to work opposite Ranveer, so she said he's third, not second.
