Imran Khan to star in off-beat film

Two years ago, Vikram Motwane had announced a film titled Bhavesh Joshi with Imran Khan. Things didn't work out and both the actor and the director moved on. Motwane is currently shooting Bhavesh Joshi with Harshvardhan Kapoor. And we hear that Imran Khan, whom we last saw in Katti Batti, has finally chosen a film.

But, this time, the actor has chosen an offbeat film. The actor has said yes' to Raj Singh Chaudhary, the guy who played the leading man in Anurag Kashyap's Gulaal, and who is debuting as a director. Chaudhary had been nursing ambitions of turning director for a long time and when he narrated a power-packed, dark script to his mentor Anurag Kashyap, the latter loved it and asked him to work on it some more.

After Kashyap gave him the thumbs-up, Chaudhary and his team started scouting for actor. It seems, Imran Khan loved the story during the first narration and, soon enough, signed on the dotted line. The film will start rolling next year and will be produced by Phantom Films.
