shaheer's performance in this entire serial has been exemplary...special mention goes to sona's accident track and this breakup track...although it is very difficult to choose tracks since i hv found shaheer excellently flawless thruout this serial but still these two r my fav tracks...
honestly wen i started watching this show i was watching for supriyaji and the unique concept of this show...although i used to watch mahabharat i was more a fan of saurabh raj jain (krishna) than shaheer...i hvnt watched shaheer's earlier shows...i watched him only in mahabharat where i already told i was fan of krishna and then now i am watching krp...so wen i started watching this show i did not hv much expectations from shaheer since in mahabharat i only used to notice him for his gud luks rather than acting...the reason is very simple...in mythological shows i feel actors do not get much scope to display their talent since these characters do not emote much...and since erica was totally unknown to me i started watching krp with zero expectations from the leads...
but as the episodes unfolded i was surprised and rather pleasantly surprised to find magnificent perf from both shaheer and erica...initially till the accident track it was erica who was the show stealer for me...but from accident track onwards till today there is no luking back for shaheer...he gave such oscar winning perf with each episode and the growth that he showed as an actor left me flabbergasted...i started watching with zero expectations from him and today wen i sit in front of the tv at 9.30 i start watching every episode with sky high expectations from shaheer and needless to say he does not only stand up to my expectations but goes far beyond...
no doubt he has proved himself as one of the finest (if not the finest) actors in tellydom and i wish him millions of best wishes for future...
in serials i always tend to become fan of the character more than the actor...but for the first time i am equally crazy about both the actor and the character...i feel at the moment he is literally breathing the character...between director's action and cut shaheer completely gets transformed...either he forgets that he is shaheer sheikh or else by some supernatural power he becomes dev dixit not only by appearance but by soul...the way he emotes, his every single gesture, facial expressions, body language like the way he walks, sits, stands, talks, cries, smiles, laughs or the movement of his hands everything is perfect reflection of dev dixit and not shaheer sheikh...this kind of transformation from actor to character at least in my lifetime i am yet to see another one be it on tv or on the silver screen...
i feel very proud and happy to be a loyal viewer of krp and i feel extremely lucky that i have got the opportunity to watch an actor outperforming himself in every scene...
i cud write another million words but even then i will not be able to finish expressing the overwhelming feeling that i get everytime i watch shaheer sheikh as dev dixit...
dev is a character whom we simultaneously hate to love and love to hate for the simple reason that he has extremely endearing qualities...even wen he is expressing his grey shades like breaking sona's heart or not wanting her to move on or love someone else even though he cant marry her...in spite of these grey shades there is something in this character that just cant make us stop loving him or feeling sorry for him (at least i feel so)...in spite of everything dev has a heart of diamond (not gold) and is one of the most guileless, childlike and unpretentious characters i hv ever seen...

his only "crime" is that he trusted his mom super blindly and in doing so he has failed with his other most important relationship in his life...but in the process the heart which has broken into millions of smallest pieces belongs to dev...the person who has died a thousand deaths and suffered from extreme self-guilt and intense agony of losing his life is also dev dixit...
to see the confident and self-made business tycoon crumbling to pieces and at the same time not having the luxury of blaming anyone for his distress is itself a painful experience for me as a viewer...but the fact that keeps me spellbound is shaheer's fantastically flawless performance as dev dixit goes through the huge transformation from a confident and self-made man to someone who cant even stand on his own feet (both literally and metaphorically)...shaheer has portrayed this transformation so beautifully that wen i watch dev dixit of earlier episodes and dev dixit of current episodes i almost refuse to believe that this is the same actor...
i wish i cud personally wish him but all i can do now is say that i am mad about shaheer sheikh as well as the character he plays and i wish from the bottom of my heart that his success and talent will know no limit...
