Dear friends,
I know most of you may not agree with me. I just watched and really liked it.
The good :
1) The fight sequence was very well done. Well choreographed and so were the dialogues. Atleast I enjoyed it.Infact I would have liked it if they had not brought in the Preetha-Maami scene in between, I felt that slowed this down.
2) The "Maa" card, well played CVs, well played. No mother can see her two children hurt each other. Given that Nirmala has already witnessed it once, she wants to prevent it again. Nothing wrong with that. For the second time, I see that Nirmala does care for Shravan (The first time was at the library)
3) The Younger Shravan- Current Sumo scene was an excellent idea. It is symbolic don't you think ? Not just for the kidnapping but for the whole track. It is actually more of a Sumo monolgue, but voiced by the younger Shravan, that it is her turn to wait. I am so waiting for a current Shravan- younger Sumo scene, that would be a treat when it comes.
4) The Nirmala-Ramnath scene, well done too, by Ramnath specially, he is the only one who uses his brain. At least he connected the dots.
And thank heavens Ramnath and Nirmala are seperated, if they can fight like this after 10 years of seperation, what would have happened if they had lived together. I used to think that their seperation was bad for Shravan, but I stand corrected today.
5) Naanu saying that Shravan won't break his promise. If he can't break this promise then it goes to show that Shravan will not let Naanu down at all. Think about how that impacts the ShraMan relationship. His marriage is a promise too, not only to her but to her family that he will keep her happy.
6)Sumo deciding to go to PCT - Welcome back Sumo,the fighter. The younger Shravan brought out the younger Sumo. No surprise there. The tussle is between the two Sumo's now.
Younger one says today "Main kabhi kisi ka intezaar nahi karti ..."
Remember the scene where Shravan says that if he gets angry and goes away and doesn't talk to her then ?
The older Sumo says "Main tumhe dhoondne ki khosish karti aur agar tum nahi milte to tumhare aane ka intezaar karti jaise pichli baar kiya tha."
Any bets on who will win ?
6) The Precap : I see worry on Shravan's face and not anger. He knows Adithya is on the loose and Suman in PCT is a red sign. Sumo's phone is here and Preetha is not answering. Shravan will be in full protective mode. He is so going to go to PCT.
The ok things :
1) The Preekar-Maama-Maami scene was a bit of a rigmarole, they were all saying the same things and disagreeing and then agreeing.
2) Sumo's voice over : I wish they had used younger Sumo's voice. We wouldn't have found it odd as we are used to her voice.
3) The goons where really not needed but it was funny.
May be I am reading too much into this episode, ready for popat as always. I think the CVs did really good considering Nikki's absence.
