BBD - Classic case misleading positioning!!

Spoilers ahead...if you still are sucidal and plan to watch this movie😉

I don't want to dwell on bad acting or direction, but if I am not wrong, I and many believed that BBD was a SCI-FI movie . And Sid is a Maths genius , so viewers would assume that he will Time travel through some technology. Right?

Well, he is shown to do this deed with help of a Pandit jee🤪.

Did no one question Director or writer about this crap?
Or for the makers, showing how the world looks like in 2023 or 2046 makes it automatically a Sci-Fi

There was a Shahid Kapoor movie - Vah Life ho toh aisi, where Shahid does magical things and in the end its shown as his dream. So makers were automatically free of any responsibility to prove how the miracle happened.
I think BBD should have gone that route and not promoted as some Time-Travel Sci-Fi of Maths genius. It was confusing.

it was even written in descriptions that it is not about time travel or sci-fi.
But than again as it says "whatever floats your boat".

BBD was not promoted as an out and out sci fi. It was mainly promoted as a rom-com with time travel theme.

I never understood why he had to be a maths genius.

I felt it was a geniune question coz whatever little I saw in promotions, Time-Travel was theme and poster had a huge clock. I would naturally presume that its time-travel and sci-fi.

Ugly - Maths genius and his ability to calculate didn't do him any good at all !! So whats the point?

traveled anyway.

I think they were just trying to make the story seem unique. They were trying to package it differently, but didn't succeed.

Whatever whatever it was a boring snooze fest and I barely managed to stay awake.

The method of time travel shocked me as well. I loved the movie and didn't mind how he was traveling Coz I loved his journey .
And yes, even I thought it would be some Sci-Fi as he was Maths genius .

bbd was promoted as rom-com, but it had no com.
