suman refused to receive any monetary contribution from shravan as she was worried what people might say about her and her family...but self respect is SELF respect, right?why will others' opinions tell suman if she should respect herself?she should have her own idea of self respect.
I am trying to understand her...but I don't think she is honest to shravan or even herself...she says she values shravan's family's emotions but the same value she thinks she should give to her family too..but I don't think she values both families equally..isn't she valuing shravan's family only through words and not actions? she isn't even trying to or even think of compromising.
I believe that a wedding is primarily of the bride and groom and it would be really nice if the fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, grandparents could keep their wishes, desires and dreams to themselves..so if suman has not much value for shravan's family's desires I will understand that too..but she should be honest about it.Why this pretence of valuing when she actually has no value?
