Barfi is such a classic !!

One of the best movie of this decade. Plus the performances in the movie are really outstanding. All three leads played the role to perfection, Ranbir had what IMO is the best performance this decade in mainstream movies, Priyanka was terrific and so adorable as Jhilmil, her career best and Illeana despite being surrounded by such strong performers, had the best female debut this decade. While she looked like a million bucks, probably the best looking character in recent years. Plus the music is such a gem. An all time classic, which won both the critics and audience. I just think, sending it to Academy created unnecessary controversy and negativity towards the movie in some section of audience and critics.

Barfi..is just..well...Barfi.

Nothing comes close go in the past decade or so.

A deaf-dumb boy and an autistic girl and their journey. No preachy story-telling. No grandeur. No item-songs. No larger than life character spouting off 'seeti-eliciting' dialogues. Just being in the moment and living it.

Just... being..Barfi !
