Post your movies where a male character or a hero decided the fate of the girl and let her go so she can go and live her life? As in the girl was binded and felt like she owed to put up with him and forget about her true love because she wasn't deemed important enough to make her own life choices.
Will start.

Mohnish Behl in Hum Aapke Hai Kaun.

Anil Kapoor in Taal.

Abhishek in Mai Prem Ki Diwani Hoon

Abhishek is a nice guy and a very good and understanding husband, agreed...But often times it is not about how nice a person is or how much that person is willing to do for you, there is something more that the heart yearns for which Rani obviously wasn't able to find when she was with Abhishek...And she didn't/couldn't find a way to adjust/adapt...Its her life and how she wants to live it which is totally understandable...What I couldn't get is, why the heck did she just not take a divorce and do whatever she wanted to do? That's where I have a problem with the movie...

She wasn't even happy on her wedding day so in my opinion she should've called off the wedding instead of going ahead with it.
