Ohh How could I forget ! Thanks for reminding me of this very important plot twist as well. I was honestly very happy when Naira was talking about how Gayu had done her proud for listening to her heart and refusing to be forced into an alliance that did not have her heart in it. That meant that when it comes to Kaira as well, she cannot go back on this and force Karthik on Gayu only because her sister wanted it. Karthik deserved the same choice that Gayu had enjoyed once too. Like you said that would be major character assassination on the writers part. This is only considering Karthik having feelings for her and not her feelings for him. If her feelings came into the picture as well then I will never forgive the writers for turning her into yet another mahaan moorti of Indian TV. It goes against everything Naira stands for.

Her feeling bad for Gayu about her having chosen the same guy would be fine with me but a big NO to her feeling guilty for being in love or for Karthik choosing her!😡
