A poem from lakshman's perspective
My first ever try to write it out from a male view
Based on their reunion
The steps
Walking like a mad man , in rush
I recaptulated those brown eyes , that red blush
Those soft and pink lips , that smile
That enthralled and froze me for a while
Those flowy hair that brushed past the nature's scene
That charming face , so beautiful so serene
And finally those tears that gushed out of her magnetic eyes
That times of tests and tries
Those moments of pain and despair
Her sacrifice , her bravery , her love , her care
And finally I reached the room
Shedding my sorrow , my pain , my gloom
She lay on the bed seven steps from me
I looked at her with love and glee
But those steps , those steps seemed like ages
Like the test laid out by sages
I took the first one with a new promise in heart
To forever be her life's part
With the second a pledge was taken
To protect her and this vow to never be shaken
The third charged me with inner peace and will
The fourth reminded me of my duty and her skill
The fifth fifth me with love and trust
And sixth talked about things of should and must
In the final step I asked for a wish to the mighty
"Oh my lots , oh my diety
If you ever give me birth again
Then let this lady be my rain
That flushes every doubt from heart
And embellishes and cherishes my path
And let me too adorne her ride
Let me be her groom and she my bride
Let her be the moon and I be the star
Let her be the butterfly and I the flower
Let me be the truth and she my believe
Let me be her gateway and she my relief "
With this I touched her hand and she opened her eternal eyes
Inside which my whole world lies
I called for her , she murmured my name
And I captured the moment in my eyes frame
In her arms I found the solace of life
She is my my enchantress, my urmilla , my wife
