Maybe I am not as IMPORTANT as Deepika: Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is busy promoting his upcoming movie 'Pink'. In a recent interview to an online portal Amitabh had revealed that his co-actress Deepika Padukone was paid more fees as compared to him for Piku.

While this had come as an added feather to Deepika's success in Bollywood, it has also raised many eyebrows in the B-town.

In a recent statement, Amitabh seemed to be bit disappointed with this disparity in his pay scale. He said that, "Deepika was paid more than me forPiku. Two things are clear from this, firstly that Deepika is more important than me. Secondly, I've been working for a really long time and I have lost my price tag. May be I am not as important as her". [sic]

It's evident that actresses like Deepika and Priyanka Chopra, are giving a severe competition to male actors in Bollywood. Well, that might be the reason why the makers are compelled to pay a huge amounts to our actresses.
