i always thought commenting on someone's weight using comments such as:
has a manly body
looks like a skeleton
has a body of a 12 year old boy
fat cow

is strange... it surprises me that women use the comments above to describe other women and justify the comments above by saying they are "honest"...

with fat shaming it is the person who has weight is well aware of it and it is their doctor's job to warn them of possible health issues with being overnight... i avoid commenting on anyone's body because it is none of my business... except kat who looks hot... this world is never going to stop body shaming... just hope it doesn't affect the person who is receiving such comments and they focus on being fit and healthy no matter how fat or skeleton they may appear in someone's eyes 👍🏼

In all honesty, I'm yet to understand the concept of body shaming. If someone is 110 kgs or sth and I'm referring them to someone and end up saying that I'm talking about the girl who's on the heavier side for recognition purpose then is it fatshaming? Let's replace the 110Kg girl with a girl of height 5 Feet or a very lean guy or that guy who has vitiligo or someone who's extremely dark or fair or has green hair or whatsoever.

For me Body shaming is only and only when the purpose is to insult someone, when it's used in a derogatory manner. Step 1 is to always see through the person & their intention.

Any kind of body shaming is wrong --- but people will be people --- it's hard to make anyone understand how one feels unless they are in their shoes---- so such discussion only bring out diplomatic answers from most --- rarely we'll get to see someone being honest about it ---!!!!
Isn't it so easy to find others commenting on an overweight or obese person --- one look at a big person & things like *go hit the gym* or *go easy on food* or *stop being lazy* ---- etc start pouring out --- there are many who'll see someone big & end up with such expressions --- it's very easy to be judgemental ---- I am sure a lot of us have done so --- but who's to say the person isn't doing it already --? How do we know the person isn't lazy or goes to gym regularly & eats healthy yet doesn't have a desirable body --- who's to say the person may be having hormonal issue or even psychological like eating disorders ---- & the most that piss me off is when some say "we say it b/c we care & want so & so to be healthy" --- lolll --- as if the person who is already obese or overweight doesn't know what is right or wrong or they are stealing from ur plate ---- I know this b/c my BFF still continues to hear such things --- & funny enough not many know she suffers from *lymphadema* --- & even more irony is a common friend of ours would poke her consistently --- she would comment on her food when we would be at restaurants or any food place-- she would poke how our friend shouldn't consume such food or drinks --- as if she has no right to even take a break from her daily routine --- Such habits of friends & even family can be irritating --- !!!!
most overweight people are already extremely harsh on themselves --- ( I have myself gone through it all in my teens --- plus relatives are the biggest pain in the ass 🥱) --- so really don't see the need for sly comments or even comments on food or gym to make it worse for them --- Many make it seem they care so they say so --- But I say No, if u care just support ur friend or relative & give them the space than wasting ur hollow advice for them--- people are adults --- they know what is best for them --- !!
