~ Chapter 1 ~
The Bhalla house was decorated nicely as today Simmi was getting engaged, everyone were excited. Mr and Mrs Bhalla were busy in attending the guests when Mrs Arora came and greeted with Toshi. "Congratulations Toshi.. Finally Simmi is getting engaged."
"Yes Poornima.."
"Now what about ur sons? Raman.. When does he get married?" She curiously asked.
"Raman.. Don't ask about him.. Mujhe samajh nahi aata Iss ladke ka hoga kya.. Koi ladki uske life mein ho toh baat badhegi na.. He has too many girlfriends.." Toshi sighed.
"Shadi karwa do.. His life will come on track.. In fact I was thinking.." But she stopped as someone called Toshi and she took leave.
"Toshi.. Where is ur son?" This was the fifth time when Mrs Arora asked about Raman and all could Mrs Bhalla replied, "He must be on his way. He will be arrive before the engagement. Don't worry Poornima..! By the way where's Shagun..?"
Mrs Arora looked around and pointed her finger saying, "There she is coming.." Toshiji smiled seeing Shagun, Shagun approached to them and took blessings from them.
"Aunty.. Raman?" Shagun asked.
"Yeah, he went to attend his friend's wedding.. He might be on his way."
Soon the engagement ceremony started, though Simmi asked to wait for Raman but as the time was auspicious, everyone asked to go on. Soon the engagement done and guest started leaving when Mr Bhalla asked, "Abhi.. (Abhimanyu - elder son) call ur bhai and ask him where's he?"
"Papa.. I tried his number but it was unreachable." He said trying to call.
Everyone walked out to see off the guests when a car reached, Mr Bhalla saw Raman inside, "See! Toshiji.. He is the only person who attend his sister's engagement at the end of the day."
Raman gets out from the car and looked at everyone who were staring at him angrily, Toshiji walked to him asking, "Where were u Raman..? Don't u remember today was Simmi's engagement?"
"Maa..!" Raman showed his palm at her, "Let's talk about it inside. But I have someone to introduce with u all." Everyone looked at him curiously, Raman walked to the other side and opened the door when she gets out from the car. "This is my wife - Ishita Raman Bhalla."
Everyone looked at them shocked. "Wife..? What are you talking Raman?" Mr Bhalla glared at him.
"You heard right papa.. She is my wife - your daughter in law."
"Raman.." Toshiji shouted.
"Shall we talk inside? Don't make scenes here, after all it's about your reputation." Raman asked looking around as people were stalking. Raman didn't wait for their reply, he dragged Ishita inside.
"Raman.. Tu kisi ko bhi ghar ki bahu banayega aur hum mann lenge? How do you think so? It's my house and I won't let her stay here. And look at her son.. She is not your type.. She might be some uneducated girl.. Yeah.. She might trapped you for our money." Mr Bhalla said approaching to Raman and looked at Ishita who was standing beside him, "Hey girl.. How much money u want to leave my son? Tell me.."
Raman looked at Ishita and saw tears rolled out from her eyes, "Enough papa.. Don't cross ur limits."
"Raman..!"
"Papa.. It's not ur house, our grand mother aka ur mother is still alive, if u forget let me remind u this house belongs to her and if she don't let her stay, I will accept it but this time I won't listen to u."
"Raman.. Is it way to talk with ur father?" Toshiji yelled.
"Maa.. Jo jitna respect dega usse utna hi respect milega.. You taught us na.. Papa is behaving harshly with my wife and being her husband how would I accept it? Anyways.. Where is dadi? Rinki call dadi here.." Raman ordered Rinki who looked at Mr Bhalla when Raman said, "Rinki go..!"
"Raman.. Calm down.. We can talk peacefully. Just now ur sister engaged. Just go to her, talk with her first." Abhi said calmly.
"No bhai.. If ur wife would be at her place, would u stay calm? No right? Then how could u expect it from me?" Raman asked looking into Abhi's eyes just then they heard a old man's voice, "What's going on in my house?"
"Dadi..!" Raman looked at his grandmother came with Rinki, Raman held Ishita's hand and took her near to him saying, "Dadi... My wife.. Ishita.."
Ishita took blessings from him, "You are so beautiful." just then she heard Mr Bhalla saying, "She can't stay in this house."
".. And who are u to decide this?" Dadi shouted. "She will stay in this house and its my decision, do you get that? And whoever have problem with it - deal it urself or there's the way to go out.." She said showing them the door.
"I don't believe this maa..!" Mr Bhalla shook his head in frustration, "Do whatever u all want but I won't accept her in any cost." saying this he walked to his room and Mrs Bhalla followed her.
"Let's go Ishita.. You must be tired.." Raman was going to leave with Ishita when Dadi said, "Wait Ishita puttar.." and asked one servant to bring aarthi thal. "You are my Raman's wife and with this relation, u deserve everything."
Meantime the servant bring the thal and dadi did their aarthi right there, they both took blessings. Abhi and Rinki both wish them happily. "Raman take her in ur room now.."
"Yes dadi.." Raman took her from there.

".. And this is my.." But he paused and corrected himself saying, "Our room.." He opened the door of the room, Ishita walked in and saw well furnished room. She was admiring everything when Raman called, "Ishita?"
She turned at him, "Ishita I am sorry.. The way my parents behaved with u wasn't acceptable. I extremely sorry."
"It's okay Raman.. Though I already told u.. I don't deserve all this. You shouldn't done this Raman.. You shouldn't marry me. I can't give u any happiness.. I am not anymore..!" She stopped as tears rolled down from her eyes, Raman walked to her saying, "I don't repenting on my decision Ishita, so stop saying all this. I promise u, I will give u the respect from them which u deserve. Now stop crying." He said forwarding her the handkerchief.
"By the way.. You might be hungry.. I can make good dishes.. You want to try something?!" He asked with a smile to cheer her up. But Ishita shook her head in no..! "Okay.. As u wish.. But I am super hungry, so I am going to kitchen. Till then u freshen up.. I asked servant to bring ur bags.. Settle ur clothes in the right side of the wardrobe and change into something comfortable." He said and took leave from there.

Raman knocked on the door and slightly opened it saying, "Ishita.. Can I come?" Just then he saw her opening the door saying, "You don't need to take permission to come in ur own room."
"Yes.. May be..! But now I have someone who is sharing the room.. So, I should do this. Itni decency toh dikhana chahiye." He said with a smile and walked in the room.
"Here I bring pasta for u.." Raman said placing the bowl on the table and looked at Ishita who was looking down, "I am sorry.. Right now.. Only this item I could make in this short time."
"Thank u.. But I am not hungry."
Raman sighed and took her near to sofa asking, "Sit here.." They sat on the sofa. "Ishita look.. I know in which situation u r going through is the most toughest time but u have to fight back right? And to fight.. You need strength.. Please have something.."
"What will I do Raman? When my own family is against me.. When they don't want me anymore.. What will I do living?" She cried.
"You have to live urself. Okay not for urself but for me.. Because u know I love u so much."
"Why did u love me?" She asked having tears in her eyes.
"I don't know why but if u ask me how much then I can answer u that I love u more than my life." He said wiping her tears.
"We met just a month back and u love me this much that u married to me without thinking about urself once.. What would happen if dadi didn't let me stay here.."
"I would leave this house." Raman replied immediately, "Ishita I don't need anything except u.."
"But u know I don't love u and I think I can't love.." Raman placed his finger on her lips saying, "Don't love me but be my strength always.. My love is enough for us but u don't shed tears.. Don't hurt urself ever. Remember it.. You are my strength." Ishita cried when Raman just wiped her tears.
"Now have something for me." He said forwarding the plate.
"You are so good Raman.."
"I know.. Everyone says the same, even girls says more about me. Thank jayenge par tareef karna nahi chhodenge." and he winked making her smile slightly.

"No.. No.. No.. He can't do this.. He can't cheat me.." Shagun started throwing things on the floor when Mrs Arora tried to stop her, "Shagun dear. Listen.."
"No.. Mumma.. How can Raman do this? He loves me mumma.. We love each other. No.. I won't let him go away. I will kill that bitch. Raman is mine only." She cried vigorously. "Mumma I want him mumma.. If I don't get him, I will die. Please mumma do something." Mrs Arora hugged her daughter tightly.

"Ishita.. You sleep on the bed.. I will sleep on couch." Raman said.
"No.. It's okay Raman.. I will sleep on couch."
"Ishita.. U should sleep comfortably on the bed, I will manage here.. Please I insist." Ishita helplessly nodded when Raman made his bed on the couch they slept on their respective places. Raman turned off the lights when suddenly Ishita sat back horrified, seeing her he too sat back.
"Raman.. Can.. Can u please turn on the lights..?"
"Okay.. I will not turn off ur bed side lamps, is that okay?" He calmly asked, she shook her head in yes. ".. And don't panic.. I am here only. Sleep well, good night." and he slept on the couch, Ishita too slept but this night sleep was far away from her eyes.
