We live in 21st Century & dead ppl are getting canonized because they performed miracles 😕
And then so called liberals mock sadhus/babas. Such hypocrites we have 😳
She had already got a Nobel Prize for her "social work" (which is debatable, btw)
So I really dont see why we should be celebrating freaking stupid superstitious beliefs & so called miracles in today's world.
Especially since here activists like Narendra Dabholkar are killed fighting for Anti-superstition bill.

Well, MT was a good Christian who used all the money and goodwill she had to convert as many people as she could. It is highly debatable if she really helped as many as she is claimed to have. She just helped them die as Christians.

From India's perspective she only helped create a picture of gloom and slums and poverty.

For those who want to be aware - there is enough material around.

I also heard similar and worse things about her from a Bengali friend. It was a bit hard to digest considering how she has always been portrayed like a perfect role-model for 'kindness' and charity.

Mother Teresa is one of the worst women to walk the Earth. Horrible, horrible woman who revelled in the suffering of others as she believed that 'suffering is beautiful/ brings you closer to God.' And when time for her to go came, she opted to go to expensive hospitals instead of suffering. Similarly, her hospitals were known as places to die rather than of places to help you recover. She single-handedly destroyed hundreds of lives under the guise of being a good Christian woman. And indirectly, she supported many dictators by taking their blood money and advocating for them.

I am so angry that the Catholic church is thinking about canonizing her. That too after an article by some stupid Canadian priest or whatever. f**k this shit.

@bold- yes this was exactly what my friend told me. was shocked to hear all that!

i always held high respect for mother teresa...but the comments here are true...then i must say, she doesn't deserve the respect...yes any kind of help is good, but expecting people to convert to help them, is highly debatable.

It is a regular thing in mumbai too...people who are below poverty line are provided with food n financial help, but only, if they convert to christianity. Sick people are brain-washed into believing that they will get better only if they convert n accept Jesus as their savior. Its like the preachers prey on the human's vulnerability

And they call themselves are liberal people.

Simple question - compare the facilities at Mother Theresa's and Satya Sai Baba's hospitals. The answer presents itself!
