Why is Bollywood industry silent about Mother Teresa?

There is hardly any news about her at all. Nobody from Bollywood is talking about it either. Has she not given her entire life to a good cause? Being declared as a Saint is a huge accomplishment and very well deserved for this lady who worked tirelessly for the greater good of humanity till her last days.

Thank you for this topic.

I was hoping somebody would make a thread about it

There's a Shyam Benegal IV where he talks about wanting to make a movie on Mother Teresa

I made a thread about it in the other forum

I tried to look around in any news media and none have any mention about her. Is just winning Oscar awards or Olympic medals the benchmark for national prestige? Mother Teresa has made all Indians proud today and I saw the ceremony and there was so many women empowered wearing Sarees and attending her event. It was proud moment to see that there is no Mother Teresa without India and vis a vis.

Mother Teresa used to be the fav. topic among glamor queens and Beauty Pageant participants

You could never win a Miss India/World/Universe title even runner up, without mentioning her name during the Q/A round 😊

Yeah I also remember. By the way if she were still alive today she would be 106 years old. Its hard to imagine its almost 20 years since she passed away. She would have been declared a Saint much sooner had it not been too many Pope changes.

Well, MT was a good Christian who used all the money and goodwill she had to convert as many people as she could. It is highly debatable if she really helped as many as she is claimed to have. She just helped them die as Christians.

From India's perspective she only helped create a picture of gloom and slums and poverty.

For those who want to be aware - there is enough material around.
