Indraneil has set his heart on films
His debut film Mumbai Salsa didn't do all that well at the box-office but Indraneil Sengupta is quite keen on giving more priority to the big screen. "I am not saying no to television. In fact, I am quite open to good roles in good shows. But if I have to choose between a good serial and film then I would definitely opt for the latter," he says. That's probably the reason why after his debut show Pyaar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shyam, he hasn't been seen much on television, except in a cameo appearance in Sindoor.
"I didn't get any good role besides Mumbai Salsa kept me busy for about a year," says Indraneil who will tie the knot with his lady love Barkha Bisht, his co-actor in Pyaar Ke Do Naam, sometime in the second half of 2008. While he prefers films, Indraneil says Barkha prefers television. "She likes to work every day and prefers the monetary and career security that television offers. Though films are dicey, I still like to be little more adventurous and experiment with different mediums," he adds.
