CHAPTER 9
Radha tries to prove that she has changed but is unable to do so. She decides to prepare the favourite dish for all. Rashi is enthusiastic to complete the pickle order with Gopi but has to prepare the breakfast for everyone on time and is irked about it. Radha on the other hand wants to cook. She goes to Rashi and said, "Rashiben, I'm very sorry for what I have done to you. Please give me a chance."
Rashi: Fine, Will you do me a favour?
Radha: Sure, whatever you tell me to do I will do but please forgive me.
Rashi: Today is my turn to make the breakfast but I'm not feeling well. I have to complete the pickle order with Gopi. Will you prepare the breakfast instead?
Radha: Yes, I will do. But will Kokila Aunt allow me to do the work?
Rashi: Don't worry. I will take care of those things.
Gopi comes in.
Rashi: Gopi, we have soaked the pickles overnight and we have to deliver it by 12 noon. Now, it is 8 am. By the time we finish preparing the breakfast, we will have very less time. So I want Radha to prepare today's breakfast.
Gopi: Fine. Radha, do you know today's menu?
Radha: Yes.
Gopi: If you don't know please ask.
Rashi: Give her the instructions in writing. Our work is urgent.
Gopi writes all the instructions & gives to Radha. Both of them start the pickle work.
Kokila comes to the kitchen & asks, "Rashi, why did you give the work to Radha today? Have you come back to your old habits?"
Rashi: No Kaaki. Today is the deadline to deliver the pickles. Radha wanted to prepare today's breakfast. So I allowed her.
Kokila: Wasn't it necessary to ask me?
Rashi: I'm sorry. I didn't know how you will react.
Kokila: If you had asked me, either I would have prepared the breakfast. Anyway, let Radha do it now. But hereafter you should ask me before you give your work to someone else.
Gopi & Rashi make the pickles ready. Radha finishes preparing the breakfast. No one except Gopi, Rashi & Kokila know that Radha had prepared it. However, Ahem finds by the taste that it was neither Kokila nor Gopi nor Rashi nor Hetal had prepared. He said, "Did Radha prepare the breakfast today?"
All are shocked.
He asks Radha, "With whose permission did you prepare it?"
Gopi: Actually, it was Rashi's turn but we have a deadline to deliver the pickles by 12 noon. So we asked Radha to do it since she was asking.
Ahem: But Gopi, how do you trust this lady? She has kept Meera away from us for 8 long years.
Gopi: I know. But there is a possibility that she wants to change.
Rashi backs her saying, "Yes Jiju. She has been under our observation."
Kokila: I understand that you don't want Radha to be around. Maybe these girls are right in saying that Radha wants to reform. Please don't throw your temper on food. Have it for today as you guys had gone out & the time was limited.
Gopi: I'm sorry Ahemji. Please have it for today. We will plan better next time.
Ahem: Fine, if you insist, I will have it now.
Ahem, Jigar & Chirag complete their breakfast & goes to the office. Gopi, Rashi & Kokila stir the pickles & tastes them. After they found it good, they put the pickles in the bottle & delivered the pickle boxes to the client.
Next day, they get the cheque for their hard work. Gopi & Rashi share their profits equally.
Days pass by. Everyone are happy to see that Radha has changed. Even the children got the confidence that Radha is not going to torture them anymore.
Rashi brings the proposal before the Modi family to get Radha remarried.
Gopi: We have to ask Radha.
Madhu: Rashi is right. Whatever has happened cannot be brought back. She has to forget the past & move on in her life.
Kokila: We have to find a boy for her but this time we will proceed only if she agrees. We have forced her in the past & the result was adverse.
Radha comes in.
Gopi: Good, you came. We are talking about you.
Radha: I know you guys are talking about my marriage.
Gopi: Yes, you are right & trust me, we won't proceed unless you say yes but we feel that you need to forget your past & move on in your life.
Radha: I'm ready for the marriage, I will marry the one whom you people will suggest.
Kokila calls up Jignesh's mom & asks them to come to MM.
Jignesh & his parents come & see Radha.
Kokila: I know that I had called you regarding Tripti's marriage with you as a part of our drama & thank you for your co-operation. But we mean it this time but the prospective bride is Gopi's sister Radha. You both can go to the terrace & talk for sometime. Whatever you both decide, please get back to us.
Jignesh: Not a problem. It is our pleasure.
Radha & Jignesh share about each other & decide to marry.
Both the families are happy.
