Why Mallika is needed in the show

Yes. I think she is needed to move the Shivika story further!

Now that they both know each other slightly better, Shivaay is clearly attracted to Anika and Anika too has become aware of her attraction for him. But there is no admission of love yet and there won't be because both are too practical. Especially Shivaay who looks at love, marriage and relationships as deals. Plus he is engaged to marry Tia. Anika knows this well and is his wedding planner, so she won't dare to break his marriage. Both will not admit love even if they realise it in their hearts.

Tia I think is an arranged match For Shivaay. He doesn't love her. She just suits his image in public and he thinks he can live with her as he can control her according to his needs. Whereas Anika is total opposite to what he has always believed in life. She is from socially lower class, is crass and loud and most importantly, someone with an independent mind, something he would have never accepted in a wife. Still he realizes that he is falling for her but he will control himself as something like Anika was never in his future plans for himself or his family.

Malika on the other hand is someone with whom he was romantically involved for a long time and looks to be his type -rich, well to do family, classy. Whether it was love or just friendship or and whether they drifted apart because of someone else is yet to see. I really don't know what CVs are going to show. It could be just some comic scenes but I suspect Mallika is going to make Shivaay realise his love for Anika. Shivaay might still be holding some feelings for Mallika. When you see your ex after few years and from a distance, you may wonder whether he/she would have been really the right partner for you or you were lucky to have escaped from that relationship as you were never compatible. Shivaay may realise he made a mistake there and Mallika or Tia can't be his companions. Once that realisation dawns on him, Shivaay can think clearly about what exactly he is looking for - A compromise of lifetime or listen to his heart.

P.s. Of coarse all this is just speculation. we all know Shivika are somehow going to get married as in all shows. Most probably Sahil's bua, that money owed is going to play some part there. No wonder they are showing so much of Anika's constant worry of bua causing danger to Sahil.

Lovely post. You have putted everything so well.

Let's see, what CV's have stored for us. For now we can only hope for some progression in Shivika and I just can't digest anyone other that Anika with Shivay 😆

I agree she will help move their story along. To me, Anika isn't interested in Shivaay at all. It seems like she just wants to make her time there tolerable and stop the fighting. Sure she is moved by his love for his family which she can relate to and more recently she was admiring his smile. He may be a jerk, but he is an attractive jerk 😆

No matter how much she dislikes him and his behavior it can't be denied that he is obviously an attractive man. It was only a matter of time before she noticed it, but I don't get romantic feelings from her. Whereas with Shivaay there clearly something there. It could be curiosity or maybe something more, but he obviously feels something otherwise he would just ignore her. She brings something out of him that he doesn't even know, which I find entertaining.

With Tia it's a marriage of convenience based on financial reason and mutual understanding. I don't think their relationship is based on his ability to control her because there is nothing that has shown us that he can control her or even wants to. She is very independent and has her own life.

I agree she would make a "better" wife for his image given their in the same circle. There is no love, but there is a mutual understanding between them and both parties are happy with their arrangement. He likes his space and she give it to him. And vice versa we don't see Shivaay interfering in her life either and he respects her life choices. Even if it's not Tia he would had a marriage of convenience with someone from the same social class, education background, etc.

Well, I don't agree that a third person is needed for realization of love, like Soumya yesterday said, a relationship should be organic and should be allowed to develop at its own pace...a third person in between a couple only brings misunderstandings, jealousy, insecurity and everything that should be avoided in a relationship

As for making Shivay realize his feelings for Anika...Om & Rudra do that job pretty well...Sahil also gets Anika thinking sometimes with his lines on SSO

So Mallika was really not needed imo especially wen we already had Tia...they could have given Tia's character a bit change and made her more possessive or insecure types for sometime to make Shivay confused over his feelings

As far as Mallika character is concerned, the recent news segment showed that Mallika had dumped Shivay and Shivay had feelings for her and his definition of his kinda girl is Mallika😆 Thankfully she is now engaged to SVR so m not hoping for a rectangle here...just a Triangle Tia-Shivay-Anika is enough!

Agree. There are enough people on the show to get Anika thinking about her feelings 😆

i think that maybe mallika has ulterior motives which anika gradually will find out about. She might then try to warn shivaay about it and he with all his arrogance will tell her that she is being paranoid. Phir raita phelega and one again he is going to realize that she has saved them all again😆

Thoughtful post. But I don't agree with your point about Shivaay wanting to control Tia. I think the show has already established Shivaay as a character who has no issues with a woman's independence & rights and even hinted that he supports such women who are independent and make their family and country proud by his dialogue about P.V. Sindhu and other Indian women who are part of Rio Olympics.

Secondly, I don't agree that a third person is needed to catalyse Shivika's realisation of love. There are way too many characters on the show already for that plus it is too early anyway for some sort of realisation IMO, especially on Annika's side. 😆 But you are right, SVR-Mallika will cause some progress in Shivika, directly or indirectly. Maybe Shivika will team up and play cupid between SVR-Mallika and get them to sort out their differences and reunite. KVB did say there will be a comedy of errors track here so I am looking forward to it. 😆

So I think all this track will do in case of Shivika is make them realise how good they work together as a team! That's it. 😳

Now this would be interesting to watch!

Earlier shows too have had the leads try to get another couple together and get closer in the process so why not!

In a segment today Malika was giving it all back to pinky when she was all praising the boys.

And says that it was me, a girl who left your son Shivaay.

Which makes everyone shocked.

Later OmRu ask Shivaay about this. He avoids them

Malika asks tgem didnmt he tell you anything about how we broke up.

OmRu and Malika tease Shivaay.

Malika will definitely irk Tia. About ShivIka realising tgeir affection for eachother I donmt think Malika will be of any help. OmRu are enought for that 😉

Plus ShivIka are trying to amend their equation with eachother at the moment.

No love will be shown so soon.
