Let me start this post by applauding Dev's Mama. The only person in his family who can tell the truth. And what brutal truth!!!

In answer to Dev's same old lame excuse to the tune of, There was no way I could have a mother and a girlfriend/wife too. Everyone in the world can have both. But since my mother behaves like a jealous possessive girlfriend, how can I have a wife?

Mama's slamdunk answer: Tu itna bhi bechara nehin hain.

BULL'S EYE!!!

Ishwari passed on this victim mentality to Dev. Her "Woe is me. In the whole wide world only I had a hard life. And since Dev also had a hard life with me, we will both be single until I die" song that she keeps repeating got into Dev's head.

However, our Mama probably as irritated with pacifying Mother and son duo that he had to speak up.

He gave excellent advice. However, Dev with his selective hearing only heard the part where he can continue to do what he had been doing, but doesn't have to do what he should be doing.

I can bet you, he will continue to try to break Sona's marriage but won't try to get her forgiveness for treating her like a piece of furniture which he got rid of because his mom didn't like the style.

Now Sona should also tell Ritwik about what Dev did to him. But knowing Sona, she will tell it to him soon.

Ritwik also took an honest step when Bijoy asked what's wrong. He clearly stated that he is worried for Sona because of Dev's harassment which Bijoy should know being Sona's father.

Now the day we have been waiting for. Bijoy wasted no time to let Ishwari know that her son has been calling Sona behind her back which lead to Ishwari confronting Dev.

There could only be two things that will happen now.

1. Dev will come clean how he had been suffering in Sona's absence (Unlikely outcome) or

2. He will trivialize his love again by lying about its importance in his life which will lead to Ishwari searching for suitably docile, submissive, doormat girl for Dev to marry. (Most likely).

I know what I am wishing for. Ishwari to get a slap on her face and be forced to confront the fact that Dev will get destroyed if Sona is not in his life.

But the show needs to run longer. Hence I don't think that will happen.

On a completely different note, why didn't the detective mention in his Ritwik report that Ishwari brought that ideal guy in Sona's life? Adha report kyun diya?

Or may be he did give the full report. Lekin as usual, baat Devi Maa ki hain to woh portion Dev skip kar gaya hoga.

@bold. Yes!! This woe is me attitude annoys me to no end in both Dev and Ishwari. Your hard times are over, past is gone, get over it already! Instead of focusing on the present and what good the future might hold for them, they only choose to live forever in FB mode.

I don't understand what more Dev needs now😔Mamaji literally spelled out everything for him yesterday and out of the entire thing what did he choose to hear-Sona only loves me and she is taking a wrong decision(me-continues the head banging that I have been doing in the past several episodes)
Where is the character growth? Where is the introspection? How can Dev conveniently forget and ignore that it was HIM who ended the relationship and belittled Sona's importance in his life, dismissed his love in front of his mother as if it holds no value?
I always wanted Dev to realise these things on his own but when mamaji said everything that needed to be said and even then he realised absolutely nothing, I don't know what to expect and hope anymore.
You have rightly said, he will probably trivialize his love again when Ishwari asks about the calls.
Tired of watching Ishwari's melodrama and blind selfish love(more like obsession).
As @Pehchaan kaun and @ gemini rightly said, Dev is the only one responsible because he never once made an effort , never even tried, just gave up!
If only, all 3 (Dev, ammaji, Ishwari) had applied the honesty is the best policy with each other and themselves as well cos 2 of them are still happily residing in Denial with no plans to move(sigh)

You are absolutely right.

When it comes to our favourite character no one wants to try to see the consequences of their action in practical life and society. That's why when a hero eve teases or harasses a woman on screen, audiences expect the heroine to act coy and fall in love with the hero instead of slapping a restraining order on him.

In real life, there is no clear hero or villain. There are only human beings who are saint and sinner, winner and loser, angel and devil based on the situation and their own nature/upbringing.

I know no one wants to hear about logic in a show. But this show has meaty script and phenomenal characters played by A class actors. That's why I want to see CVs use the material they got to their full potential.

I want Dev to come clean with his mother how much broken he is and how every day he parks his car in front of Sona's place hoping to catch a glimpse of her.

Ishwari called Sonakshi and Dev's love "Barsati Naala" because did Dev for a second let her realize that his love is like stormy ocean?

He trivialized his relationship, lied about the importance of Sona in his life over and over again. But he still yet to understand what he did wrong. His reaction after Mamaji's advice actually made me go facepalm. Talk about selective hearing.

So Ishwari is obtuse. But her delusion did not sustain unaided.

@ Tia - Again you just penned it what exactly I wanted to say 👍🏼

This incident, if happens in real life, can have a long term impact even after reconciliation.. It scars a girl so deep and in a way that in future, even if she is right in something, she would think 100 times before voicing her opinion against her MIL. And the MIL's selfish ego is permanently boosted up to an extreme where she feels the devilish pleasure of having the full control of her son's life (if she would use it or not, is out of question, the point is Dev provided the opportunity to her to think so)..

I don't know if all these will be covered in this show or not, but honestly after how Dev removed her from his life, in such incidents in real life it pretty much gives the control to the mommy of the groom on how the house would function.. The family gets a clear-cut message that yes, she cant do nothing much about it.. It puts the girl in a lifetime battle of existence and self-worth at her in-laws place.. Apparently it can come across as her struggle with her ego, but no it's not.. If KRPKAB shows Dev is going to approach Sonakshi after Ishwari approves of it, it is going to be the WORST thing on the earth.. Sona's life will be at Ishwari's mercy throughout her life.. Today Ishwari is happy, happy days for Devakshi ... Tomorrow Ishwari is having a problem, bam, Sonakshi leaves for her maika with her suitcase..

I am scared to expect sane things from the show now..

My sentiments once more!
Here the forum is buzzing with resentments for Ritwik . To me Ritwik is moot, a non entity. Whether he is a villain or positive character Sona will go to Dev. Ritwik's role iis to show a mirror to our protagonists and let them explore their feelings and hasty choices taken by both in past.Hence what they need to do in future.
Mamaji is the only sane character who thinks rationally and suggests right solution but let us see what is approach will be once an emotional retard call Iswari opens up.
