Katrina Opts out of SRK - ALR's movie bcz of Deepika

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's first ever collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Aanand L Rai has evoked enough excitement among his fans for various reasons. Now, as per the reports, the latest development in the story is that Rai has already signed Deepika Padukone for one of the parallel female leads and the after-effect of this is that Katrina Kaif, who Rai was also in talks with for another equally prominent role, has opted out of the film. Reports suggest that the main and the major reason for Katrina stepping down the stage is Deepika Padukone who she allegedly never got along, thanks to latter's gowing proximity to Kaif's ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor. Reports even say that Kat was very keen to do the film as she had liked the script and her role, but the moment she learnt that Rai has cast Deepika for another female role, she decided to opt out. For the ones who came in late, the film that stars SRK and sees him playing a dwarf will release on Dec 21, 2018 and reportedly, the film is tentatively called 'Bandhua'. Let's wait and watch if SRK steps in and tries to convince Katrina to do the film. And if he succeeds in convincing her then this could be one of the biggest casting coups ever! Aanand L Rai has announced the release date of his next film with Shah Rukh Khan as the lead. It's going to hit the theatres on 21st December, 2018. Talking about his next, the filmmaker says, "I'm working on it. It makes me happy and nervous simultaneously. It's a challenging film. It's a beautiful love story with lots of twist and turns. Wait and watch." Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a dwarf in his film. He says, "I really don't know what will be the height of my hero. It's story of a short man but with a bigger heart." Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are said to be playing the leading heroines of the film but the director says that the casting is not finalized yet and is still in the process.
