its like the bedroom line used in Vandy's context...These guys for all their nuanced writing completely don't get it that this is not a saas bahu soap...where insults get heaped and no one bats an eyelid...

Absolutely. But what is more disheartening is that the creative head is a woman. Do men in India really think along these lines? Shravan actually abused their friendship today and such a deplorable, perverse and preposterous behaviour is unacceptable.

But the characters aside, is this a reflection of the men and women in India. Do TV serials not have a certain obligation toward society. But then, I guess not.

Too mad to be coherent right now. But let me try a brief WU:

Sumo sees Shravan walk in during the mehendi ceremony. She smiles at Adi, who then riles Shravan up further calling Sumo Suman Aditya Ahuja etc.

Maami sends Shravan to Sumo's room on an errand; he looks at their childhood photo and gets sad.

Nirmala comes in, and aska Shravan to stay away from Adi-Suman, because Adi loves SUman a lot, and he shouldn't ruin their relationship. Shravan leaves in a huff. Adi pesters him further, asks him to come to his bachelor's party. Shravan looks at Nirmala and promises to attend the party. He promises that after the party, he will not need to bother Adi ever again. 😲

Sumo emotional (OLV scene) about leaving family/home. Sumo-Shravu pic about to fall and break. Maasi saves it, says apshagun nahin hua!

At the party, Adi keeps needling Shravan. Lawyer sa'b is all sassy, and then tells Adi that after he came back from London, Sumo and he rekindled their relationship (wait for it) - as friends, lovers, and HUSBAND AND WIFE. Did it all.

Then he sarcastically wishes Adi "Happy married life," and leaves thinking, "Ab tumse main aur tumhari khushiya dono duur rahenge..."

SO, SO, MAD AT SHRAVAN MALHOTRA! what a let down!

I think "Rape' is too harsh a word for this.

Yes, it's not cool what he did..he intentionally jeopardized everything..but did Nirmala think of Shravan? His mother keeps letting him down, his love keeps letting him down (of course he doesn't know why but just try to place yourself in his shoes)...this Aditya guy has his two most precious people in the world...he was irritating him and Sumo about their "Past" since ages...he even insinuated that they wanted to buy some "PERSONAL" shaadi stuff together (Which I hope you guys know what it means)...and more than that, this Track HAD poisonous Shravan written all over it..

Did he react wrongly? I'd say no. But could he have chosen a better taunt/insult to hurl at Aditya? YES.

Unfortunate but true... I have heard guys talk like this...sort of like how girls like to brag about their fake Louis Vuitton...
Yeah it's sad because I would not have expected shravan to say something like this... But hey none of these characters are all white... They all have some gray linings
