Today's epi felt like an homage to the Cinderella story😆...Meera looked like a princess in that silver dress...great job by the stylist...Namita looked gorgeous. Meera's all set for the ball when she breaks her heel. Lol

Abhishek down on one knee...helping our little pixie princess fix her shoe...lol I couldn't help but chuckle...and then they added in all these Abhi Meera touches like Meera's impatience to get done with the shoe, Abhi scolding her to not touch it...adorable bits.

The car ride bits were really cute too...Meera all anxious about the party so Abhi gives her the "yes I'm in love" funda to keep her distracted...lol only Meera jaisa cartoon would get so excited about guessing who he's in love with so that she gets distracted from her own troubles. Lol she got great lines today also...the way she was teasing Abhi about the changing colors on his face, her asking him if he's in love with an alien...lmao...her musing about pyaar waali feeling. Tooo cute she was. Loved how Abhi cheered her up and motivated her for the party too :)

The Party itself...ughhh Aman's friends seem like even bigger douches than him. How on earth is Sanjay related to these people? And his presumption that Meera would become an IAS officer too...lol looks like this rishta will break in that point only.

LOVED how Meera stood up for herself today👏. Honestly wonder what point there is in Riya being so well educated when she allows herself to be treated like this by misogynistic a-holes.

The ending was the perfect wrap to the Cinderella vibe today...Meera pulls off her heels and hurries out of the party...and of course her true prince is waiting outside for her...lol...having passed the time playing KANCHE no less...lol I thought that was an adorable touch and sort of brought Meera's toota kanchaa line from the jungle episode full circle :)

Felt bad for Abhi waise having to deal with Daadi ka emotional blackmail *rolls eyes*

Precap: Yayyy Bade Bhaiyya ka budday is finally here! Lol. Looks like his bday wish is an image of Meera as his wife...lol...and aww@him looking for Meera ka bday message on Friendsbook. Lol

The car conversation today was adorbs:)) Namita looked gorgeous today and she was adorable in that running radio like live commentary on Abhis changing colors 😆😆

Abhi is now totally lattu.😛 I wonder how much longer he will be able to hide his feelings. Abhi I guess remembers his dadis words when he says its obvious that it takes time for broken things to mend but people dont understand.

Meeras analogies of parties, kadoos and majboori is lolworthy. Majboori meri aadat ban gai hai🤣 Meera is frantically asking Abhi to help her to calm down and he is busy smiling and gazing at her😆 She forgets her nervousness and latches on describing the changing colours on his face so vividly and concludes he is in love.Lol.. Namita was so cute and adorable here. In the end Abhi manages to divert her attention and calm her down.

Finally Meera has had enough and says what she feels. Its good to see her stand up to Aman and tell him she does not want to be an IAS officer. She does not even know what she want to be. Riya is totally annoying. She also makes it clear that this is not what she is and she cannot spend the whole life pretending to be something she is not.

Also loved how Meera gives it back to Amans friend. Asking him you know about Lajpatnagar crisis🤣 He was stumped😆 It was like telling them instead of just discussing about the world problems first solve the ones that we have here.😆

Abhi on the other hand is trying to avoid going home and thereby his father:(

I was thinking about Cinderella the moment I saw that precap yesterday! Namita looked so pretty in that dress...pretty and adorable in that car scene. She's got that innocent fresh vibe about her that totally fits right in with her character. I liked how she stood up for herself as compared to her sister who couldn't get her voice across let alone her "opinion." Why can't she see how horrible her sister's feeling in aman's company while Sanjay can?!

Anyways, felt bad for Abhi while dadi kept blackmailing him regarding his father. And that man looks so darn shady...the manner in which he was staring at Abhi in the beginning was so ..ummm odd. He doesn't seem apologetic at all! Rude person!!

@precap--- lol finally the track arrives! Abhi's already imagining meera as his dulhaniya! Lol

I could only watch 2nd half of the episode... I too got Cinderella vibes from Meera especially when she was running out of the party after removing her heels...

Meera has always been straight forward but still adorable... I don't think now this alliance is gonna go for further talks as if not others her family clearly knows how impossible it's for her to become an IAS officer, Sanjay included.

I loved those lines that today she somehow managed but it isn't her real self and that she can't keep acting for the whole life-time... She might not be clear with whether to do something productive in life or not but she's clear about her happiness...

I don't think many of us have that privilege to choose only to be happy in life... Abhi's character is a perfect example where he can't afford to be happy ignoring his responsibilities while Meera being born in a rich or upper middle class has the choice to choose only happiness and still remain unaffected...

I just love this contrast in the two leads... Both are in the process of learning whatever they're lacking from each other... While one lacks happiness the other lacks responsibility...

Lovely post, perfect description!👍🏼 The episode indeed looked like another version of cindrella story. Thanks to that broken heels, we got to see Abhi dropping her in a taxi, which gave a cute conversation between them. Her explanation on why a person's color changes was funny, Priyansh did a great job during the enactment of a flustered, blushing Abhishek while listening to those words.😆 The party was boring. This Aman is surely a jerk, trying to force anything on Meera according to his wish. Seriously seeing an understanding guy like Sanjay it's surprising how this fellow is related to him. Aman's friend was yet another bossy version of him, but it was nice to see Meera giving him back.

The Precap was interesting, liked the way you'd described that she ran towards her real prince.❤️ Waiting to see how they take the story from now.

and we've recovered from friday's mess phew

today was indeed beautiful also must mention the party looked very classy and so unlike parties in other shows . Meera looked like she walked straight outta disney film. i am so in awee of meera she looked so pretty and classy . the car convo was so cute . i liked how meera stood out for herself but i cannot stand her sister why is sanjay not her brother like Plz that would've been way better. ria gives me evil bhabhi vibe more than a sister.

i also loved how abhi also stood his ground in front of dadi and wasn't giving in to her blackmailing . samjhti kia hai amma red carpet bichaye us namoone yogi ke liye who looks like bache uthane wala more than a father.. amma was so wrong in blaming abhi for everyone else not talking to that loser i was like what ?? did he even tried talking to his wife or kids he keeps giving them such nasty looks as if his kids are at fault and not him

Beautiful post and lovely writing! I started watching the show only a few days back and I'm loving it for its freshness. The episode had a fairy tale quality about it and like you said ,what struck me was the magical Cinderella effect. The scene in the car was adorable !

Despising Aman for his overbearing ways and snobbish sense of self importance!

Today's episode was a complete fairy tale. I loved her dress and Namita looked beautiful. The episode had some nice conversations, sweet moments. Better than Friday's randomness.

I loved the car convo. Abhi and his methods of distraction 😆 Then again his student rocked the party. She passed the exam with flying colors.

Amma is annoying. I wish they would give us a Amma-Babli scene with Babli talking about Yogi and a proper conversation between Babli and Yogi too. They need to develop yogi's character a little. Its like they are bidding time to use the complete impact of his arrival.

Sanjay is a sweet heart!! He is more like a brother to Meera. But Riya is irritating. She spends half her time worrying about 'Aman kya sochenge'

Lol I personally didn't think any recovery was needed from the Friday epi *shrugs*

The epi worked fine in the continuation of the story...Abhi is obviously smitten but he's sweet about it so far..like they didn't spend an hour showing him staring at Meera in that princess dress and even in the car scene, it was a good balance...I don't think the execution of the dream was bad either...won't be surprised if they show more of those...that is meant to be the only space Abhi allows himself to be full on filmy I think...lol

Thank you all for your replies! Not sure when I'll be able to reply in detail to everyone so I'm sort of just compiling my thoughts here.

Some of you mentioned freshness...exactly, the show today brought a fresh take to Cinderella tropes and still kept it grounded somehow...that is what really worked for me...that reminds me, I loved how Abhi tried to motivate Meera by telling her the party needs her...for the freshness only she can bring to it.

Yes, Abhi was trying to avoid his father so he just hung around outside the party not wanting to go home. It is providence that he ended up playing kanchaas/marbles and Meera came back out and found him. Lol

I think tomorrow might have nice convos too...maybe he will finally talk to Meera about his father.
