Chapter One
Rudra stood at the window of his London office and looked at the city. It had been good to him the last 4 years since he had left India and started running the London branch of the Oberoi business. The change had done him well he loved it here he was going to hate leaving it but he knew he had too. Dadi wasn't doing well and he knew he couldn't stay away any longer. He thought about his brothers and how everything had changed between them. Their All for One and One for All bound was gone and it was because of him just shutting them out. He hadn't meant to at 1st he had tried skyping with them but each time he had to pretend and be the old Rudra he felt drained and it pained him. From everyday it went to once a week, then once a month and then finally he had just stopped pretending and stopped seeing them. But both his brothers and his bhabhi's would send a video, email and send stuff all the time he would see everyone of them but he just couldn't be with them.
Something had broken in him when he saw her leaving him, he hadn't cried, he hadn't screamed he just became a corpse. He had never felt as alone as the moment when he saw her married but then maybe he had always been alone. He offered wondered if he had even been alone when he was with his brothers he had always felt secure with his brothers but had never wanted to be a burden for them so he played the court jester, the dumbbell of the family. He told them everything but yet nothing but with her he told her everything she saw a side that no one saw. She didn't see just the funny Rudra the hottie or the dumbie she saw all of him yet she still left him. she should have known better she should have stayed and fought with him he would eventually have listened to her. He placed his palm on window and just felt the cold on his hand he knew that just like would never have meant to hurt him he would never have listened to her. He had ruined his life on his own by being vain and seeing the outer beauty of a person instead of the inner beauty he paid a price for his foolishness though. He had lost the person he thought he loved and the person he never knew he loved.
Just then he heard his secretary come in and tell him that it was time for his flight. He stayed still for a while longer and then went to his desk and took his glasses and his briefcase and ended home.
