I loved the way whole of Ravan's battle and his final moments were shown. It was beautifully symbolic.
A person who has pride believes he is above others. That he is in the sky. He forgets the earth. But to be frank wherever you are, whoever you are your last moments will be on this earth only. Your mortal remains will be there in earth only. Not in sky. That's the truth. The final resting place of your body is dhara or earth.
A man believes once he reaches sky he doesnt have to come back to earth. He can stay away from earth, eternally in sky .

Bhumija comes to Lanka through sky. A woman so connected with earth is snatched from her familiar surroundings and brutally taken via sky to a place where people see only the sky and not the earth they walk. And Bhumija brings all of them back to earth, while she goes back with her loved one via sky.

Ravan says to Laxman in the end. Yes you will get all wealth and power. But you should have a detachment towards them. You have to know you get it because of your knowledge to do certain type of work. Once you misuse it. Once you see it as your entitlement then pride takes over you. Your knowledge dies and in the end it takes down everything you has. At the last moment you will realize what you have done.

Interestingly what we need to see here is that Ravan realizes what he has done. But Dury he never realizes, even at the last moment he wants to take revenge from Pandavas and sends Aswathama.
And Aswathama he goes for the fetus in Uttara's womb which makes Shri Hari even deny moksha for him.

One thing we need to know that as per Prakriti if a criminal is living that means Lord is unwilling to grant him mukthi. Because he has to suffer more in the life for what he has done. Once you realize your mistakes and when all your bad karma is paid with mukthi comes. Till then you suffer.

In MB, Bhishma is given the bed of arrows and forced to see the vinaash of his vansh. Why. His mistakes are more and all of them need to be paid before mukthi can come to him. Whereas Drona and Karna gets a much easier death.

And it is because of this reason I had somehow made peace with Nirbhaya's juvenile criminal is being let of. Because yes he escaped the hands of law. But can he escape the laws of Prakriti. We may not know. But Prakriti will catch up with him and make him pay for every drop of tear Nirbhaya shed, that I am sure. Till that happens death wont come to him.

Yes, the episode was very symbolic and beautiful, di, but your analysis was the showstopper! Prakriti is way bigger than Sanskriti, that is why at the end, everyone is engulfed by it. There is Shruti and Smriti, the Law of God and the Law of Man. Sruthi, like its other meaning, is immortal, and is delivered in many different forms. But Smriti, like a memory, changes ad disappears in every Yuga. No matter how much work Smriti does, Sruthi always tops it off. And until then, Prakriti doesn't set you free rom the prison of the mortal world.

That's why Gowri how many takers are there for Manusmriti which sets out the laws of sanskriti and how many takers are there for Ramayana and MB which shows Sruthi as the final deciding factor.
Because Sruthi is immortal can be adapted to any age. Smriti may be true to a particular age, but it loses its relevance as the time passes.

We had 2 girls gracing the olympics podium in Rio. Do you think anyone will have any interest on the line Manu said " Naa sthree Swantharyamarhathi", A woman should not be given freedom and she has to be always protected by father, husband or son.

God will always show the rightful place when even a u ever feel 'I' have done it and again it's humility that's important. Gratitude and feeling grateful ravan could have done betterment of world with his power but with ego he destroyed everything he had been blessed with.
And Nirbhaya case surely justice will be given by God surely the law of karma will make him realise before death atleast in his heart if his ego stops him from accepting.
And ur first para I am reminded of a Rajini song di
Mannin medhi manadinik aasai
Manadhanin medhi Mannik aasai
Aanal kadasiyal manndan jaikaradhi aadha manumdan ariya marikiradhu
ie man desires earth and In turn earth desires man but it is the earth which wins but man fails to understand it. Earth wins in the sense as u said mortal remains in earth only

As Shruthi said ,the last part was so good. The way Ravan gives the truth of his life was very neatly portrayed.
And Shruthi , u have a magic in your words. The way u wrote that Bhoomija part. I just liked it. Yes Ravan took Sita via Sky to Lanka where everyone are in the Sky of power and pride... and Sita brought them back to the earth. How correct was that !

@ adiya he wanted to kill Pandavas but killed upapandavas instead and then after realising that he directs a brahmastra to the foetus of uttara so as to end the future dynasty of Pandavas and krishna curses him to live forever and removes the gem in his forehead, by removing that Ashwatthama lost all powers and becomes very pale in the Yugas to come he would roam alone in forest withering in pain no one would come near him.
And krishna named the boy pareekshit as he was tested in mothers womb itself by God and purified

Almost. Smriti is created by Man, and in each Yuga, man changes. Their nature, their lifestyle, everything. So in each Yuga, the same Smriti doesn't apply. Like Sati pradha isn't done now, but was done earlier. But Sruthi, like God, is immortal.
