Shilpa Shetty fears she's kissing her Hollywood chances goodbye

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty revealed she would love to act in America, but fears roles are limited as she will not kiss anyone.

She said: "I'd love to do Hollywood, but it would have to be something that doesn't make me self-conscious. I could never do a lip-lock."

The last Hollywood actor who kissed Shilpa was Richard Gere, at an Aids awareness event in New Delhi.

He was accused of violating India's strict anti-obscenity laws and photos of him were burned in the street. Shilpa, 32, who appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, wowed a packed Albert Hall last night at the final performance of the European tour of Miss Bollywood.

The musical, set in London as the city prepares for the 2012 Olympics, has received rave reviews. Shilpa plays the lead role and sings some of Bollywood's greatest hits. An unexpected guest was WAG Danielle Lloyd, who was accused of racism towards Shilpa in the Big Brother house.

The Bollywood actress said she is looking forward to Christmas, adding: "I can't wait to do my Christmas shopping. I just love the sales."

so cliche'd! They sound as if their brilliant Hollywood careers are ending just becasue of their integrity!! May I ask what Oscar-worthy roles involving acting brilliance are these bollybabes offered? Anything more than looking shapely eye-candy? Please someone enlighten me.. please....

If acting involves a lip lock to display love and affection, it is shameful.. but danching semi-nude and shaking every body part in so called choreography to titillate fantasies of every TD&H is not vulgar? I say most of the love-making scenes in Hollywood movies are done with such sincerity & class that they look really timid in comparison with umpteen number of songs in Hindi movies. I am not talking about item numbers even! - just regular songs..

Exactly. Most Hollywood films have decent scenes and exposure only needed whereas most of our films have indecent exposure and actors clad in skimpy clothes. What is Shilpa Shetty talking about?😆 What is her claim to fame other than the pity votes she got for Big Brother?

I find it funny how she's saying she won't do onscreen kisses but will happily display part of her chest, not to mention the other skimpy clothes she's worn in the past.

Its more likely that she's a)not getting any offers or b)has been dropped from a few projects so is using this as an excuse!

You have said something I have always felt and tried to explain to people. For example the way Sudhir Mishra shot the scenes between Kay Kay and Chitrangada Singh in the song Bawra Mann in Haazaron Khwashein Aisi were so just so aesthetically and beautifully done. You don't even any thing revealing skinwise compared to the typical Hindi film song, which is supposedly more innocent, but where the tightness and small size of the blouse and camera angles tell another story. Please don't anyone get mad at me, but a certain scene in KANK between Rani and SRK made me sick. Why couldn't Karan just show a kiss on the cheek? I am not going to say what that scene looked like but it was too gross for words. I would rather see a small peck on the lips than what he showed.🤢
