I hardly watch Bollywood movies anymore, it seems that the quality of movies are not the same as they were in the 90's, 00's, or even 15 years ago. I think quality of Bollywood movies started going down after COVID. What do you think?

completely agree, used to watch at worst 20 films a year in cinema in 2000's, also used to buy at worst 30 dvd of films in 2000's.
Apart from the fact that new talent is rarely seen in movies , the current ones look very fake to me ..
Its like more of ai , too much of made up stuff which is hard to believe ..all the action is ridiculous ..romantic movies , we barely get any ...good meaningful songs are rare to find ...no family oriented movies...stories look superficial ..kahani was the king at sometime..now they want all movies to be commercial success so all of them follow the same path ..creativity is limited to AI alone ..
There still r some good movies , well, ones which I find good ..like dhrishyam etc but 1-2 films a year is all Im exited to watch ..
I do miss movies from 2006. But in 2006 I remember people were saying they missed 1998 movies so
Why should I "miss" the movies from 20 years ago? I can still watch those I like of that era.
As for today, I can choose what I want to watch like I could then...
current is better. bollywood has always been vulgar. esp in old bollywood movies there used to be r*pe/molestation scenes to attract male audience. today that has been replaced by bikini scenes and item numbers.
but I like today's meaningful movies more than the old cheesy love stories like DDLJ, DTPH, Hum aapke hai kaun, maine pyar kia etc
even though number of truly entertaining movies today without getting vulgar is too less. but quality over quantity.
