Dev is a gem of a guy, seriously flawed but blessed with a heart , a real heart, a heart of flesh. We can say he is a bully, a complicated person, difficult man, confused man, emotional timid, not a real man, and whatever, but nothing takes away from the fact that he has a heart of gold. He will make mistakes, dime a dozen, at the drop of a hat, but he is one guy who, when he realizes them, does not delay. He is honest to the point of being brutal in his words. Most importantly he has the guts, the courage, the culture, the grace, to undo those mistakes with time. We have seen him doing it so many times in the past. This is what makes him so very special. He is a man who will internally suffer and not let any one know about his suffering... and will always do the right thing, no matter the cost. The breakup is a classic example of the extremely high cost he paid. However, this time, the costs are probably way too high even for him and he has realized late. I am sure he will try to rectify his blunder, no matter the cost, even if it means his own life. Such is the calibre of this man.

All of this does not make him a bad man, not one bit. He is like an uncut diamond, but a diamond nonetheless... . and Diamonds are forever.
