So a topic similar to this one inspired me to make this ...are there any actors/actresses you thought would be gone after their first film, but ended up having long and successful careers?

For me, I thought Katrina was never going to be seen again after Maine Pyaar Kyun Kia, but she ended up staying and ruling Bollywood and even made me a fan.

Also, out of the guys, Varun...when SOTY came out I thought Sid would dominate Varun in all aspects of their careers post the movie and Varun would fizzle out, but Varun has delivered hit after hit and seems to be here to stay.

i thought alia will never see a second release

i cringed at every scene of hers in SOTY..even in trailer itself..i was like how can any one cast her..

just 4 years later..everything is changed..i would never ever have even imagined at that time that this girl will blow audience away with a powerpacked act as strong as hers in UP..i would have never ever thought or imagined that

jacqueline..have to give it to her..she has established a successful name for herself in commercial cinema

i thought this is a pretty face..may be another sonal chauhan..starring in a movie with hashmi..never thought she would star in dharma productions..replace madhuri as a judge in jhalak..work with the likes of salman..akki..ranbir..varun

Oh yes, Alia, she surprised me too...I never thought she would be willing to do unglamarous roles like she did in Highway and UP so soon in her career, and would look for more commercial cinema...kind of like Kareena did back when. She pleasantly surprised me as well.

And yes Jacqueline, I like her too, but in terms of acting she hasn't really improved, her luck is on her side though, good for her.

Alia for sure! She was so whiny and awful in SOTY. But she's improved and how! Really proved herself.
I never thought Kangana would be where is currently is either. She acted well but never came across as an actress who can be mainstream/ commercially successful.

AGREED. I thought his looks would be his downfall, but my gosh he's quite the looker now...also his personality off screen is so friendly and humble, you cant not like him.

Shraddha kapoor - i was thinking after aashiqui she is one film wonder but ya she is successful now. i still cant gt over her dialogue delivery.

Jacquiline - i guess only one actress who is successful after exposing in bhatt movies 😆

I think it is still premature to call her Successful in my books but let's hand it to KJO for shoving her down our throat and making a Star out of an average looking untalented girl .

(in UP (Overrated AF movie) I along with few frens were annoyed by her inability to portray the characters plight.I found her horrible)
