Om thinkshisset of ideals is perfect and his loved ones shouldn't breach those- also a form of selfishness. Rudra... I have still to figure out, lol. Attention demanding? Too possessive over his bros? Hm.

Shivaay's main flaw is that he thinks he has to shoulder everything on his own. Without the phone call, would he have ever told them what the actual deal was especially if they hadn't questioned him like this? He needs to understand that this kind of protectiveness will cause his brothers more harm than good in the long run because he is making them dependent on himself. What will they do when Shivaay is not around, at one point in time? Rudra's even worse off than Om in this case 'cause with Om Shivaay can, at the very least, open up at times. Rudra's a child to him and will remain such for a long time - that wake-up call will be a brutal one. His intentions aren't wrong, he is used to doing things like this and I don't exactly fault him for this - but sometimes, we want to do the best for our loved ones and end up being the cause of their pain. It happens and I fear this is where this tendency of Shivaay might lead to, in the future.

Omkara's weakness is that he let's his emotions cloud his judgement which is one huge problem. It has been shown many a times throughout the show- Shivaay goes off when he is angry and Om when he is under emotional stress. Given the situation, it's not too surprising that he snapped. Everyone does that when they are angry and frustrated - Shivaay himself does it often enough and unintentionally hurts others (and feels bad about it later on). Same happened here. Besides, the phone call came just around the time the fight was being ended - no time for anyone to reflect, to cool down before the revelation happened. Am pretty sure that once Om had cooled down, he would have rationalized the situation as he usually does when he is calm and concluded that he had been wrong. - Surprise, surprise! Om isn't perfect 🄱 Thank God for that šŸ˜†

As for Rudra, he wasn't exactly rude, imo, though he perceived it as such, I guess. Judging from his expressions throughout the whole fight, that boy seems to suffer from some serious anxiety issues- and snapped. Also, they were upset on Prinku's part - Shivaay didn't exactly leave in a gentle way, did he (since he, himself, was under stress he snapped, too)? It's easily said to do this and that, they shouldn't have done this and that but matter of fact remains that emotionally charged situations make us behave stupidly. Besides, Shivaay allows them to question him like this, he gives his brothers this liberty which no one else has- it's a form of trust. We are hurt and disappointed by the people we love the most and we bear hurtful words from the people we love the most.

And Jhanvi didn't take sides, per se. She clearly said to Pinky thatShivaaywill handle it (she trusts him more than her own kids), and she wasn't wrong: the issue was between the brothers, they would have sorted it out on their own. Pinky wasn't wrong, either, since she is a mother and she loves Shivaay (most likely only him, lol), obviously she wouldn't like him being questioned in such a manner. On another note, I'd be wondering more why Jhanvi only mentioned Om when she spoke up against Pinky🤣

So, no, according to me they didn't look selfish - just human. None of them were exactly right here and neither wrong, Shivaay just looks better because his actions ended well. But will that always be the case? šŸ¤” But I am glad that they are showing all three leads as flawed without making them look negative or anything - we can clearly see where the brothers have to work on themselves and I hope that CVs will explore these points.

Peace.

Finally you did it 🤣

As usual bang on reply all three are flawed and right in their situations no one is perfect here
And that's why we all love them.

Very interesting points those!

I just think Shivaays protectiveness stems from the fact that Om and Rudra don't really handle stress well...he isn't supposed to be much older than Om but he has handled the growing up in a dysfunctional family better than his brothers...he is used to being the pillar for them...
When the chip incident happened he was the one who thought of Om first and his fears were not unfounded...earlier he had been looking for signs of a relapse too but Om told him he wasn't going to do that...and then the pill overdose happened...!
This was also something against Om so I think that's why he didn't want it known till he handled it...and when he returned the confrontation happened immediately...he was told to stay out of family related issues etc..
Shivaay is definitely flawed I agree but yesterday I think he was right...
Even Rudra wasn't rude per se...

It was only the overtly accusing and severe tone of Oms that was jarring...he was already angry at Roop and maybe was extra harsh because of that...

I also wondered why Jhanvi mentioned only Omkara when Pinky scolded bothšŸ˜†

I don't really think they were selfish. In my opinion, every character was more or less justified according to the circumstances. Moreover Omkara and Rudra were just speaking on behalf of Priyanka.
Shivaay being the older brother, probably feels this he has to take care of his cousins, especially since their parents have not always been around and taken care of them. Although, I personally feel that he should have told the family where he was going/ or where he had been, but he chose not to tell them. He probably felt that he was just being a responsible older brother and that he doesn't have to

Omkara, as we all know is beside himself when it comes to his family. He, like any sibling/cousin, questions his siblings/cousins when they do something wrong in his opinion. He was hurt that Shivaay chose to go for 'some work' on a festival leaving his family behind. Omkara, is pretty emotional and gullible. he expects the people he loves/trusts to behave in a certain way. Although, he is grounded, he lets his emotions get in the way, and that was the reason he brought bua in, and immediately asked her to leave when he found out the truth. I may be a little biased to Omkara, but I guess this is exactly what makes him more human and I personally love the layers to his character(and the other characters as well).ā˜ŗļø

As far as Rudra is concerned, he was just stating his opinion and he was mainly concerned about Priyanka.

Pinky was right defend her son. In her view, Shivaay is constantly worrying about his brothers and sister, and obviously she loves Shivaay more than the other kids, so she would choose them over the others. Besides, she was irritated with the fact that they were accusing Shivaay in the presence of Anika, Soumya(although they are the future romantic interests of two of the brothers, they are still not family members art present) and Bua,(who although technically is family, isn't considered a part anynore). But I felt that she didn't have to bring up Jhanvi's drinking(I mean that was not relevant).

Jhanvi was right when she said that Shivaay would handle it, but maybe she shouldn't have specifically defended Omkara.
I think the whole fight was made a bigger deal than it was, because it was Omkara and Rudra(who are siblings) against Shivaay. And I feel that this is one of the reasons that will be a main cause for the exile.

Anyway, like they say all's well that ends ell, they all made up as soon as they found out the truth like any siblings/cousins.
