I'd say they are all selfish and possessive in their own way to some extent although, I don't see how OmRu came across as selfish in thisspecificsituation š¤ Shivaay thinks he is the one who, alone and by himself, has to solve every occuring problem- his intention isn't bad, of course, but this is also a form of selfishness. Om thinkshisset of ideals is perfect and his loved ones shouldn't breach those- also a form of selfishness. Rudra... I have still to figure out, lol. Attention demanding? Too possessive over his bros? Hm.
Shivaay's main flaw is that he thinks he has to shoulder everything on his own. Without the phone call, would he have ever told them what the actual deal was especially if they hadn't questioned him like this? He needs to understand that this kind of protectiveness will cause his brothers more harm than good in the long run because he is making them dependent on himself. What will they do when Shivaay is not around, at one point in time? Rudra's even worse off than Om in this case 'cause with Om Shivaay can, at the very least, open up at times. Rudra's a child to him and will remain such for a long time - that wake-up call will be a brutal one. His intentions aren't wrong, he is used to doing things like this and I don't exactly fault him for this - but sometimes, we want to do the best for our loved ones and end up being the cause of their pain. It happens and I fear this is where this tendency of Shivaay might lead to, in the future.
Omkara's weakness is that he let's his emotions cloud his judgement which is one huge problem. It has been shown many a times throughout the show- Shivaay goes off when he is angry and Om when he is under emotional stress. Given the situation, it's not too surprising that he snapped. Everyone does that when they are angry and frustrated - Shivaay himself does it often enough and unintentionally hurts others (and feels bad about it later on). Same happened here. Besides, the phone call came just around the time the fight was being ended - no time for anyone to reflect, to cool down before the revelation happened. Am pretty sure that once Om had cooled down, he would have rationalized the situation as he usually does when he is calm and concluded that he had been wrong. - Surprise, surprise! Om isn't perfect š„± Thank God for that š
As for Rudra, he wasn't exactly rude, imo, though he perceived it as such, I guess. Judging from his expressions throughout the whole fight, that boy seems to suffer from some serious anxiety issues- and snapped. Also, they were upset on Prinku's part - Shivaay didn't exactly leave in a gentle way, did he (since he, himself, was under stress he snapped, too)? It's easily said to do this and that, they shouldn't have done this and that but matter of fact remains that emotionally charged situations make us behave stupidly. Besides, Shivaay allows them to question him like this, he gives his brothers this liberty which no one else has- it's a form of trust. We are hurt and disappointed by the people we love the most and we bear hurtful words from the people we love the most.
And Jhanvi didn't take sides, per se. She clearly said to Pinky thatShivaaywill handle it (she trusts him more than her own kids), and she wasn't wrong: the issue was between the brothers, they would have sorted it out on their own. Pinky wasn't wrong, either, since she is a mother and she loves Shivaay (most likely only him, lol), obviously she wouldn't like him being questioned in such a manner. On another note, I'd be wondering more why Jhanvi only mentioned Om when she spoke up against Pinkyš¤£So, no, according to me they didn't look selfish - just human. None of them were exactly right here and neither wrong, Shivaay just looks better because his actions ended well. But will that always be the case? š¤ But I am glad that they are showing all three leads as flawed without making them look negative or anything - we can clearly see where the brothers have to work on themselves and I hope that CVs will explore these points.Peace.
Finally you did it š¤£
As usual bang on reply all three are flawed and right in their situations no one is perfect here
And that's why we all love them.
