Ch 34 : A New Beginning

Was it real? Or was she hallucinating? Like always.

She wasn't able to put her finger on it. She wasn't able to differentiate between reality and her dream. A dream she had always seen with her eyes open. A dream to be his.

His confession ringed in her ears, brought a smile on her face, unknown to her.

She lifted her eyelashes up and let her mesmerizing gaze met his intense ones. A chill ran through her spine, he was staring down at her with hopeful eyes to hear her response.

She opened her mouth to say something, but no words come out. Butterflies fluttered inside her belly, making her feel fuzzy inside. She couldn't gather courage to say those words to him.

When words failed to convey, her gesture confessed her love. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him close to her.

Rey smiled at her innocent gesture and pulled her closer in his arms, hiding her in protective shield of his embrace.

"Is it a yes, sweetheart?" Rey asked her and grinned when she nodded her head in positive response.

"So you are my girlfriend now?" He asked her again. Rey cupped her cheek in his palm and made her look into his eyes.

"Say something, Taani." Rey murmured softly, caressing her cheek with his thumb.

"What do you want me to say?" Taani questioned him back, staring at him with innocence filled eyes. Innocence which could give tough competition to a toddler.

"How about 'I love you, Rey-" Rey suggested.

"No! I won't say it." She shook her head negatively.

"What? But why? Don't you love me?" His face fell and his heart broke into thousand of pieces just at the mere thought of her rejecting him.

"I do, but i won't say it because you are a bad boy. Aapne mujhe bahut preshaan kiya-" Taani complained, more like a child though causing him to burst into fits of laughter at how adorable she sounded at the moment.

"So my princess wants punish me?" He tighten his hold around her and pulled her closer.

"Yes." She managed to reply while ignoring the jittery feeling she was experiencing due to his close proximity.

"What should i do to manaofy my princess?" Rey asked her with seriousness in his tone.

"I don't have anything in my as of now but i will let you know soon." Taani replied after thinking alot. Rey gave a small nod in response, he knew her wishes will be as innocent as her.

"I will wait." Rey muttered under his breathe. He leaned and pressed his lips against her forehead, dropping a long, soothing kiss there which left a tingling sensation within her.

She was happy. It turned out to be best birthday of her life.

"Rey." She called out for him softly when a thought crossed her mind.

"Yes, sweetheart." Her heart skipped a beat yet again, hearing the cute nickname he had kept for her. Everything he do, seems to affect her, in a good way though.

"Can i ask you for something?"

"Sure, baby."

"Can we keep our relation secret for some time?" Taani asked him hesitantly.

"Do you think whatever it is between us, happened in hurry?" He asked her with fallen expressions.

"Don't take me wrong, Rey. I just need time, i want to know you better first, i want to give time to us before we let others know."

"Alright. Alright. I got your point and i am completely fine with it." Rey smiled down at her in assurance.

"We can't tell anyone about us, not even swayum and sharon?" Rey asked her.

"No. Not even them. They might tell anyone in your group and it will spread in whole college then." Taani replied truthfully.

"Alright. But one person know already." Rey told her.

"Who?" She raised her one eyebrow at him questioningly.

"Ron. He helped me in preparing this surprise also." Rey replied to her, and for a change taani wasn't surprised to know about her younger brother's involvement.

"I have got a weirdest brother, i mean who help a guy to propose his sister." Taani muttered under her breathe.

"I like him. Every brother should be like him." Rey let out a chuckle, causing her to narrow her eyes at him.

"Lets leave all this and tell me, you booked this whole restaurant for me?" Taani asked him, playing with the button of his white shirt. She couldn't believe in a moment, they relationship has changed so much.

When they entered the restaurant, they were two individuals but now whey they will exist, they will be a couple.

"Yes. I didn't wanted any disturbance." He shrugged in response. Taani passed a shy smile to her. It will take little time to her to get adjusted to boyfriend Rey. He is not just her brother's best friend anymore. He is her boyfriend. And that mere thought itself sent her heart frenzy.

Ronak let out a whistle when his gaze fell over his sister who just entered the hotel room along with Rey, holding his hand which caught ronak's attention.

"So you guys are together?" Ronak asked them to confirm.

"Yes. And you need to keep your mouth shut about it. We are keeping it as a secret as of now." Taani told her in stern tone.

"On one condition."

"And what it is?" Taani threw a suspicious look to her brother.

"I want a new sports car and you have to convince dad for that." Ronak told his sister like it was the easiest task, though for her it was but not for him.

"Urgh! Fine." Taani let out a sigh as she agreed.
