Finally caught up with yesterday's episode!..Two things: Firstly, Dev & Sona are still drowning in their memories & they are trying to move on... Dev hurt Sona & he shut the door on her face for his mother & Sona was okay to move on & get married for her parents. Secondly, Ishwari is in the same dark place that she's in.
"And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
Was the hardest part"
Dev, even after hurting Sona so much, couldn't let go of her. How could he?...when he was still in love with her. He wasn't mentally prepared to let go. He was hoping that once the data was recovered from the phone that he threw so hastily...he thought he could at least have a piece of Sona to himself. But it didn't happen the way he wanted. The audio file was lost! He was lost!... 'Bohot important tha', 'Bilkul help nahi kar sakta'.. The anxiety, the fear, the helplessness all could be felt. No one could help him. Even he himself was doing nothing to make him feel better. This was definitely Kismet's Khel... He was beginning to realize that it was in their destiny to stay apart..
"Ms.Bose aur mera koi rishta nahi hai", ... He could feel that bitterness when he said those words. He had to keep reminding himself over & over again that they weren't together anymore. Ms. Bose was not his Sonakshi anymore. He couldn't let go.
The contrast between the two families was so stark... Sona was surrounded by everyone in her family. Love was showered in every single possible way. We knew from the beginning that Sona's support & power was, is & will always be her family.. She got a new job..her family was truly happy that she was trying & they were also playing an important part in making her forget that hard time that she was going through. Hugs 🤗to this beautiful family. Glad that we didn't get to see them mopping around her. They never left her alone to go into the dark place.
Whereas, Dev had his mother who was stuffing & suffocating him with her I-dunno-know-what-kind' of love. She was as blind as a bat. Couldn't she even see how unhappy he was. Every time she blesses him, 'Kush reh', I wonder what kind of blessing she wants for her son...😕 She's a stone cold woman.
Dev was unconsciously reaching out to Sona in every possible way. The Orange shirt!...Sona once said that the orange shirt would look good on him but now he was looking like a depressed, rotten Santara... He didn't like the feeling anymore. He wanted to get that depressed feeling out. The shirt didn't suit him anymore. He threw it away from him. There was no connection between the Dev who was filled with Sona's love & the Dev standing in front of the mirror. He still yearns to be Sona's Dev...but he couldn't. He was alone, lost in his world filled with darkness. It was like a spell.. Sona was on his mind 24*7. Everything around him reminded him of Sona & the happy memories that they'd shared. Nothing was going to come back.. He wanted to be near her but he couldn't. He started taking those sleeping pills to forget everything.
And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
You really broke my heart
Sona took the saree that he'd gifted her. She remembers those words that he'd once said. I don't love these earrings, this saree... Ms. Sonakshi Bose... I love you.'... All those words that he sang had no meaning at all. Everything that he'd done was the opposite. It was wrong. And her heart was torn apart. She was hurt & her life was colourless in spite of all the love that was being showered by her family.. Jo pyar tha kushi, usi ne dard bar diya...', Jo rang tha suhana, usi ne berang kar diya'. These are such beautiful lines & it was so apt for this situation. They had so much meaning & depth. The background score was in perfect sync to the visuals. Just plain beautiful. I could feel the emotions that they were going through. Sona had only tears to shed for the feeling that she was going through.
What kind of colourless love was this?? 💔 🥺
Ishwai...Ishwari... Ishwari... What more can we tell about her? Radha Rani tells her to get Dev married as soon as possible so that Sona doesn't have a chance to be back in Dev's life. But little did she know that Ishwari wanted Dev all to herself. She didn't want to share him with anyone. This was very clear now. What are the makers trying to show here?? 😕 Ishwari's behaviour is becoming more extreme now. She tries to change the topic by saying, 'Dev shaadi ke liye thaiyaar nahi hai'. If Ishwari was not Dev's mother I could see him happily married with 2-3 kids by now..😆She's robbing so much of happiness from him.
Always always said Ishwari was a cunning, sly, smart woman & we saw it again today. She can't see Dev marrying anyone because he would give his wife the same importance that he would give her... She didn't want to share that position with anyone. It was all hers! Neha echoed her thoughts perfectly in the one of the previous episodes. So there was no way she would search for a bride for Dev but instead why not find a groom for Sona...Wah wah!! Shabaash.. She wants to get rid of the only thing that's on Dev's mind. Did she know that she's going to crush Dev...He was already in so much pain because he gave up Sona for her. And now she's literally taking him to the slaughter house. This woman really amazes me... all in the wrong way though. Sona is good enough for anyone but not her son...so she searches for the perfect alliance for Sona...
Mera beta ek galathi doobara nahi kartha'...I can't wait for Dev to slip now. Patiently waiting. I don't care about what happens to Ishwari then.
Whereas on the other side Bijoy wants his daughter to move on... get married! Sona trusts her parents & she agrees... Okay!' They never expected her to give in that easily. They were surprisingly shocked. She'd once made a decision for herself & it turned out to be a mistake. She didn't want to walk through the same path again. She knows that her parents would find the best partner for her. She trusted them... Sona behaved so maturely. This girl has got such a strong grit. She's one amazing positive package. And her parents were adorable as always. Asha is still hesitant. But Bijoy is convinced that she's ready to move on.
Ishwari wants a shareef, thamizdar, khandani Benagli doctor for Sona! Is her guilt playing subconsciously with her? Yes she doesn't want Sona for her son. But she also wants Sona to get the very best as well. Ah...she wants a very good alliance so that the Bose's will have no reason to refuse the the proposal. Looks likes the latter reason suits more than the former..Don't know why I slipped here in figuring Ishwari out..😆. She might think her job is done & dusted by finding a 'chikna' groom for Sona... But i'm sure this is going to backfire on her. So she chooses Mr. R for Sona. The broker says 'lekin' but she doesn't hear him out completely. So there's definitely something attached to this R guy which the Bose's may or may not be aware of. Ishwari played around with her life & got Dev to remove Sona out of his life. Now she's gone one step further to play around with somebody else's life. This will not go down well with Dev when he knows that Ishwari was involved in this. Hope this forces/triggers/initiates Dev to bring Sona back into his life.
RR's expressions was priceless! So true to her nature. She thinks she's so clever. But she's such a dud!
I liked Elena-Sona's conversation. Elena.. thank you for being there to talk to Sona... She wants to know if Sona was doing the right thing. If Sona was ready to get into another relationship when she just got out of one... But all Sona could think of was, how Dev expressed that he was blinded in their love that he forgot to see his mother's sufferings. Was she moving on for him...? That by moving on.. Ishwari will be happy & he will be happy as well?? 'Hume alag hona chahiye' haunts her again & the best thing would be to move on. Wanted to hug this beautiful strong girl!
Poore Delhi mein...ek hi broker hai kya?? 😕😕 The Bose's want the best for Sona. And Ishwari had served the best to them on their plate. She's happy that her plan has worked. Too soon to be happy is all that I have to say Ishwari ji.
The episode ends...by continuing to show how Dev is still holding onto his memories of Sona..The 'Gajra' scene! Where as, Sona is ready to embark on a new journey.
All in all a wonderful wonderful episode. The transition was beautiful & subtle...It doesn't explicitly say that there's a leap...but subtly they have shown how Dev is trying to move on but he isn't able to & how Sona has finally decided to move on. Beautiful. The writers have done an amazing job..The director is A1 when it comes to executing the scenes. Never fails & will never fail when it comes to this department. Splendid! The background score is really really good...but somewhere all of a sudden it was all screechy!...like someone was scratching the walls with their long nails & making that weird noise..Gave me the goosebumps in the wrong way... need to tone the singers voice a little bit. I have only one plea now, please fix Ishwari soon. Her behaviour is extremely disturbing.
