As an ishkara fan,I have been going through many posts in our forum about the couple and even participated in some topics about them.but after taking much time, what strike my mind is that I think our couple's story would be completely different from what we are expecting.
According to me, the current storyline of ishkara is about how ishaana would slowly fall for our om,her inner turmoils of questioning about her principles and confusion of choosing between her family and him but finally choosing her family due to no other option and leaving om after conning him.but all her efforts would be under the name of bela. By this time om by himself would realize the real riddhima irrespective of all failed plans by ishaana to expose her.after the breakup om would be in a state of rage for his relationship whose basis itself was built on lies. Following that would be when he realises that bela fooled and conned him which would further enrage him.
at all these while he would not fall for bela.but later he would recognize bela as the real ishaana without the knowledge of ishaana herself.if we remember their staircase meeting and conversation,we could see when om recognized her,she was in a denial mode facing away from om deliberately.I found that one scene so symbolic.he would then surely learn the real ishaana and her miserable life by himself.at that stage he would feel connected to her but will initially hesitate to offer her help due to his struggles with his inner self and his respective principles.after much effort when he hears her out once after his insistance on her,he would realize that there is another perspective in life too and his principle of judging others completely as black or white is not completely right not atleast in some points of our life.otherwise i dont find it easy for om to have some change in his opinion of judging others after getting heartbroken by ishaana if he falls for her first and then knowing her identity later.also it wont be fair from cvs side to tear him again and again even after knowing he was always broken even from his childhood.
so after knowing ishaana truth wecan see the inner battle he fights with his principles .getting new visions from her perspective he would fall for her and then only he would change her flaws giving her unconditional love and moulds her into a new self rectifying her deeds and guilts.
I think their whole story was shown symbolically and beautifully in that one staircase scene itself by cvs. Also if we listen to omkara's version of o saathiya, the first stanza is also refering to the chance of this version of the story.Friends it's only my view.please do share ur opinions too.
