Rustom became the second highest worldwide grosser first week grosser in 2016 as it edged past the business of Fan. Sultan still leads the charts with a huge number which is more than both Rustom and Fan put together. Below are the top first week grossers worldwide in 2016.
1. Sultan- 397.64 crore
2. Rustom - 153.06 crore
3. Fan - 150.94 crore
4. Housefull 3 - 142.47 crore
5. Baaghi - 99.37 crore
6. Dishoom - 93.40 crore
7. Kapoor & Sons - 89.89 crore
8. Udta Punjab - 78.52 crore
9. Ki & Ka - 69.73 crore
10. Neerja - 59.53 crore
The Worldwide business was also the first time than Akshay Kumar film has ever gone past 150 crore in one week. There are eight Akshay Kumar starrers to go past 100 crore Worldwide which are Rustom, Housefull 3, Airlift, Rowdy Rathore, Holiday, Brothers, Housefull 2 and Singh is Bling but Rustom is the only one to cross the 150 crore benchmark.
