The episode starts with the court room, everybody are present Bindusar questions Dharma as to why she went to enemy camp. Dharma replies that she went to try & avoid the war if possible, because I knew that for Ashok nation comes first before his parents. He want think even twice before going for war. Dharma continued that its not only question of her son but many other sons of the soil who will be killed in the battle. So she thought that if only one life is put in danger then blood shed can be minimized to the extent. Charumitra accused Dharma of going against the interest of the nation. Just then Bindusar intervenes and tells that he only gave her the permission to go and also authorized her to take decision if required but was unaware of her plan to meet Vitakura, all are shocked when Bindusar told it. Bindusar continues by praising Dharma for her efforts, & tells that a Rajvanshi has to come forward to protect the nation in time of need but also try to avoid a war if possible. But asks a question as to who will fight in behalf of Magadh against Vitakura. All start to think, Siamak is hesitant, Sushim wants to volentier but Charumitra stops him, In the end Ashok comes forward & agrees to fight, Bindusar & Dharma feel proud & where as Sushim murmurs that Ashok has chosen the path towards his death. Siamak, & Charumitra are happy. Kaurvaki wants to meet Ashok before he goes for the battle but Devi stops her by telling that it is against shastra, but tells Kaurvaki that she would go on her behalf & wish Ashok. Ashok is ready to go Dharma is about to do tilak but stops, when Ashok asks she tells that now it is the right of your wife to do tilak, Devi comes just then & tells that she is here on behalf of Kaurvaki, Dharma tells Devi to do the tilak but Devi is hesitant to which Dharma tells that it you who tried to unit them so you have the right. Devi does the tilak Dharma sees & thinks may be is the gods wish that Devi marries Ashok. Just then Kaurvaki comes there with her face covered, she asks Dharma's permission to tie rakshakavach to Ashok, Dharma is in thoughts but Bindusar gives permission, Kaurvaki ties the thread, Dharma tells Devi to tie the other thread, Devi asks how can she but Dharma tells that it is good if more people wishes are with Ashok. Devi ties the thread. Ashok takes blessings from his parents, just then a soldier informs that Vitakura has arrived & is asking permission to enter Patliputhra. Bindusar gives permission. Vitakura arrives in a chariot but is being pulled not by horses but by slaves Vitakura beats the slaves so as they pull the chariot more fast, all are shocked to see. Royal family too sees it with shock, Sushim & Charumitra are amassed to see Vitakura & thinks that he can kill Ashok. All assemble in the fighting arena, Ashok enters & everybody cheers for him, Vitakura also comes he is holding a spear on one hand & a big net on the other. The refery informs that the one who wins will be given Ujjain unconditionally. The fight will not finish unless either one of the contestant is dead or surrenders. Vitakura tells Ashok that his head wont bent nor he will be able to cut it, Ashok too tells that he too wont bend till death. The fight begins, Vitakura starts attacking from the start, Jagganath tells that how can a mother knowingly send her son to jaws of death, but Dharma replies that she knows her son & not to dare a mothers will. The fight continues Vitakura gets the lead in start but Ashok overpowers him soon & kills Vitakura much to the disappointment of Sushim, Siamak, Charumitra & Jagganath. Bindusar is proud seeing his son win, Dharma, Devi, Kaurvaki & Vit are delighted.

Precap: Bindusar announces that after the marriage Ashok will take charge as Governor of Ujjain, & Sushim will be made Yuvraj of Magadh.
