I am not sure about other families but from what I have seen a perfect daughter or son or family does not exist. It is how we deal with each others imperfections that make us a perfect family.
Showing a fake side of yourself to each other in the house does not make them a perfect family or perfect Mom-son duo. Each and every one of us fought with our parents, made them proud, made them sad, cried for and with each other. It is not like we could not share anything with the family and hide every pain you are going through.
Mom and son who claim to understand each other without saying a word failed numerous times in really understanding each others pain and suffering. After hearing to the depth with which Dev confessed his love to his mother, if she thinks "char din ka relationship" OMG! she knows his mom so well...
Every relationship in the house is fake. None of the other daughters except Neha had the guts to confront selfish mommy dear. Bhaiyya (Mamaji i mean) is fake too... He could not say Dev broke this relationship because of you Ishwari. So much to speak about their close relationship.
1. If I was Sona - When Ishwari said "good it ended. maybe is makes everyone happy" , I would have said, "Not everyone auntyji, just you". Let her know that it is ONLY and ONLY HER
2. If I was Mamaji, I would have said that Dev sacrificed the love of his life just to make her happy
3. If i was Dev, I would have said I want you to be happy mom, so I broke up with Ishwari
4. If i was any other sister other than Neha, I would have taunted my Mom like crazy that she was responsible for breaking Dev's relationship.
But in this fake house no one speaks truthđĄ
