Recently Shah Rukh Khan was detained at US Airport and now Shabana Azmi, who was there for a film's shoot. The veteran actress landed at Chicago O'hare International airport; as soon as she arrived the security personnel asked her the reason for her visit to US.

She replied, "I very innocently said I had come for shooting. The immigration officer was shocked. 'Whom have you come to shoot?' he asked me.. His shock was palpable. I calmed him down and corrected myself, 'I'm filming. Only slightly relieved he said 'Why did you say shooting?' he scolded me. I told him it's a cultural thing. Really, are we actors supposed to stop saying we're shooting merely because the word has alarming connotations?

After explaining that the immigration officer let her pass through! Good security or uninformed security? What should we call it?

P.S: The film for which the 'Chalk N Duster' actress is shooting is titled, Signature Moves!

Um...poor word choice to be honest.

"shooting for a film..."

'film shoot...'

There are so many different ways you can say 'shooting' and ensure that it is taken in the correct context. I mean with what's happening in our country I honestly don't blame security for being as strict as possible. And saying 'shooting' is a cultural thing? Really? So many actors, actresses, etc come overseas to shoot...You think they all say 'i'm here for a shooting'? You just have to use wise words...Simple as that. Well anyways glad things are sorted out with her.

The officer overreacted. Who would say to the immigration that they came to kill ?

Pfff people should stop with their paranoa and focus on more important things instead of targeting a certain population.

Where did she become a victim? That is a normal question asked to any visitor travelling to any country and she answered as if she is talking to someone who knows she is an actor.

Also recently when SRK was detained he tweeted on it. IDK about who else has been detained and tweeted on it but if one tweets on it it seems their looking for attention...
